i kinda miss him as pres. he was pure comedic fodder.. esp. his laugh. that laugh should have been a clue for you as how stupid he was.. roflmao          :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD:

You are right. Bush was good for a laugh. Now we have Obama; if you laugh at him you are a r****t. Yesterday he stated that the bombing of ISIS is not intended to prevent them from taking territory. So, we are bombing and k*****g people just for fun? Our military is being sent to Africa to do battle with Ebola but we are not engaging an enemy sworn to destroy us as they k**l our allies by the thousands. Our troops are to be exposed to a v***s with no known reliable cure while we bomb the crap out of somebody with no clear reason why for either event.

Your obsession with Bush is pathetic. I wish he was back so we could laugh again because the present is no laughing matter.

The article CLEARLY states MEDIA. I have no problems with a commercial enterprise paying a higher fee for access and use of the National Parks. It's a "permit fee" and it should be higher than the user fee the regular Joe pays.

Why? The land is purchased with tax dollars. I understand a user fee to lay off maintenance on the people that actually use the parks. The permits issued for commercial use require the land to be returned to original condition after the use. I can understand a more substantial deposit but not a higher fee. The paper work is the same as it would be for a wedding.

I've got $100.00 that says we don't see this in our lifetime.

You in?

You can send your $100 to me. The requirements for permits to film in a National Park have been in existence for a long time. The regulations being proposed are for wilderness areas and designed to reduce the possibility of environmental damage to the areas.

Don't forget nailing your old skate wheels to a board and then putting a wooden box on the front with a stick to steer with. Then you fly down a hill with no way to stop except to drag your feet or collide with a bush.

Crazy religious cults...

The Muslim religion is hardly a "cult". There are millions, worldwide, that believe what is being done to these kids is right and justified. There are Muslim communities in the US working to have us follow their law and that should make you very afraid, not amused.

Ted, I will build mine using the military grade board using solid state capacitors (black) and SSD drive. I use it for high speed stock trading. My Apple 27" iMac is used for everything else on the internet.

That is the best way to get a reliable PC- build it your self. I have six I built and never any problems. However, most people don't have the knowledge or ability to do it.

I agree with you on Windows systems, I have Windows 7 on my present laptop and Windows 8 looks like a nightmare to me. I'm leaning towards a Mac right now. Thank you for your time and advice.

Rich

I taught all computer subjects for twenty plus years from programming to networking. According to the industry newsletters I get there is no significant difference between a well built PC and a MAC at this point. The PCs running Windows 8 or the latest upgraded version of Windows 7 are actually rated as more secure than the MAC.

That being said the machine to buy is the one you are most comfortable with and have the most confidence in. Too many manufacturers put out a version of PC using the cheapest parts to attract sales and give them a bad name. If you buy a good PC the price will be comparable to the MAC so just get the one you like.

I also by refurbished machines if they are refurbished by the original manufacturer. Not a bad suggestion.

I saw a list the other day that put Harrisburg drivers among the worst. After living there for twenty years I would not disagree.

Well, it's about time! On the way, you can stop at the drive-thru teller, get some money and then go to the drive-thru fast food place so you can eat and view. Of course, you'll have to worry about the car behind you honking its horn if you stay too long. Maybe they can have multiple drive-thrus, like banks have.

So is the guest of honor always in that window, or do you push a button? Those reflections might make it difficult to get a good look. As they say, it's ideal for people who "may be afraid of funeral homes," an ever-growing minority. Maybe there's a support group for them.

Don't forget to go by to the drive-thru pharmacy for your anti-depressant's. With all of these drive-thru businesses it is hard to believe the government is still telling us we need to cut back on gasoline usage.
