I am with you, Erv! A friend once said I do not understand "art" and I suspect that is true! ...jean
The simplicity of this shot is very appealing to me. The background looks like sand and seeing the complete shadow makes the viewer think. Good shot! Thanks for telling us that the leaf is floating.
I enjoyed your shots of the department but I especially like the little bandit on top of the rack in #3. He is definitely relaxed, paying no attention to your group. Thanks for the post.
My first thought was, "guardian angel." Probably a better title could be "sneaking up on the blind side." This is a most unusual shot. I particularly like that the incoming bird is not in focus.
Your wing detail is exceptional. Dragon flies are not easy for me.
I think it looks like a painting. Well-done with excellent composition. Definitely stress relieving. I would like to see it on canvas.
dpullum: I like the original post very much and would like to see the changes you mention. This is the kind of shot that I could enjoy for many years. I find it soothing. Speakdolphin, I like your approach.
These shots remind me of abstract paintings. Peaceful, beautiful colors-- would be great as a framed pair. I enjoyed them both.
#2 is my favorite. The swamp can be a very peaceful place. I can visualize this as a greeting card. Enjoyed them all.
Number 3 is my favorite. Old logs fascinate me and yours is exceptional on the download.
Absolutely beautiful! I cannot choose a favorite. I never tire of images of this enchanting place.
Thank you for posting these. I don't often download images but yours are special. I have spent some time admiring them, especially #'s 3 & 4.
Jakebrake, I remember all that you mentioned. I was born in 1935 and I remember WWII very well. I helped collect scrap metal, crushed tin cans and used ration stamps. My husband served in Korea and Vietnam. Oh, the changes we have seen! Thanks for the posting.
I, too, laughed out loud when I saw your shop. Talk about telling a story with a photo...you have the knack. Thank you!
The road to the beach speaks to me and is my favorite. It makes me want to walk there, very slowly. Away from the maddening crowds.
