Very nice job on #3. Number 2 has some hot spots and I think the subject needed to be a little more to the left. Looks like a dismembered hand stuck to the leg. Number 1 has a background that does not add to the portrait and is very distracting.

Nice. Doesn't it look a little like a purple Donald Duck?

Amazing how someone can see things in pictures that others don't notice. Yes, now that you pointed it out it does look a lot like Donald Duck.

Thanks. You see, I did not think the background too distracting because I thought it was far enough away. But I see your point. I can easily(if I were advanced enough) to change backgrounds in photoshop. I will give it a try. I need the practice.

Please share the results if you remove the background. I think it will be easy to do since her shirt and hair contrast nicely with the current background.

Love #2 !! We had problems with squirrels when using a similar feeder and since we didn't want to have the squirrels stealing the bird seed we put vaseline on the pole to make it slippery. That made for some interesting photos capturing the squirrels trying to steal the bird seed while trying not to slip off the pole.

Very interesting photo and yes it looks almost exactly like the Statue of Liberty. A few moments before and after the time you took this photo I am sure the shadow would have been nothing worth a photograph. Good eye needed to capture something like this.

Very nice photo with the other flowers and sky in the background. Watermark is distracting so I would remove or locate to bottom of photo.

Like first one best but does the picture need to be turned? This guy certainly blends well with his environment.

Good job on the defining the focal point in this photo. It makes the photo interesting

I like #1 as it is because you can see she is sitting on her truck and therefore the car in the background does not seem so distracting. For a portrait of your daughter as you did in #2 and #3 I would crop out the white truck. In both of these the car in the background is also distracting so I would probably work to remove the background to improve the portrait type photo.

I like it and think it is worthy of a vote. Good Luck.

1/30 sec is way too slow for any motion let alone a sports shoot.

You had good instructors and you are obviously a good student to learn so well. Personally, I like the timing on the first one best.

Interesting with all the lines and angles. I think a picture from the same spot in early summer with the leafs and grass a nice green would be a great picture.
