this image is all about the textures for me. great tones, too.
wonderful set, though that last one seems to stand out more than the rest.

Doesn’t seem terribly safe.
no, but it'll make a great story, lol.
nice shot.
looks bleak, stark and desolate, this type of photography is a favorite of mine. very well done!
chilly looking. even with the warm light. looks great.
great set of bird photos. lots of wonderful details and poses.
wonderful, though i'm not sure if you'll see this since for some reason you've decided to add me to your ignore list.

Looks like a Northern Shoveler to me. Mallards generally have yellow/orange bills. Nice in flight image- his colors show up well!
thanks for the id, it's appreciated. i'm not a bird person so every duck with green feathers is a mallard in my mind. i'll try to update the post header if i can.
gorgeous light and tones.
moulton barn never gets old, no matter how many times it's shown. but having said that, this is a beautiful view of the barn and mountains.
took a quick trip to the local wildlife refuge yesterday. it was cold and windy. i found a mallard norther shoveler (thanks suntouched) in an icy pond, not much else. he wasn't happy that i was watching his ice bath, so he flew off.
