Upgrading D80 to D 7000

Upgraded from d60 to d7000. Kept my d60 and use it at times when I kayak or biking. Basically in situations where something could happen to it and I wouldn't be devastated. Doesn't compare to d7000 but takes good pictures.

Best point & shoot

I love my Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS20. For a point and shoot takes awesome pics. Use when I can't use my d7000. On vacation on the dunes there was too much sand blowing around and used the Lumix and pics looked great .

Advise from an amateur.

Most of the pictures I've taken have been animals , landscapes ect . On vacation in Namibia I wanted to capture the people of that country. When asking to take pictures of people you have one shot. You can't start asking them to pose. Advice ... Put your camera on continuous and shoot 3 or 4 shots. Some of what would have been a great shot they blinked . If I had shot 4 in a row I would have caught them with their eyes opened.

Automatic Mode

It's cool you are a hunter and choose photography . I went to Africa and took some great pics of animals . Tried to explain to my friends that I actually hunted these animals to photograph . It was a great high to hunt that animal and get the shot. Learn to use manual or you won't be able to get that great shot. Good luck!!

Macs - What Kind

I have 15 Mac pro laptop . Love it. My computer at work is a Mac . If you like no drama , no viruses, no adware a Mac is the one. When my kids and I owned a pc had to wipe the hard drive to get rid of the adware that constantly slowed it down . I would do virus scans, adware scans to keep it clean. My girls and I all have Mac and I do nothing. We don't even have virus protection on any of them. Mac sure you get the pro.
