Great shots. Would appreciate if you could tell me the equipment you used. Thanks.
lukan, MT Shooter & cjkorb thanks for the input.
New to the market but what are HH opinions. A old style camera no bells or whistles. No video or flash. Early reviews from users suggest this Nikon is better than their D7000 or D90. I'm still a novice DSLR user but my photo mentor (still not a member of HH) is looking to upgrade. The Df caught her eye. Thanks in advance for your opinions.
Thanks speters. I'll continue to research and compare.
My opinion but your more than a hobbyist. Your photo of the Cormorant is great. All your posted photos (my opinion) put you above just a hobbyist. Thanks for sharing.
New to DSLR but long time film user. But this is the best debate in the short time I've been on HH. With four daughters and now several grand kids I've been looking for a decent 50mm portrait lens. Nikon is just out of my price range/salary. So is Sigma or Tamron the option? Do I bite the bullet and pursue a Nikon? Would appreciate all you DSLR pros to condensed the above and offer your professional advise.
Agree with Pepper. Buying a DSLR is like asking what car to buy. You're going to get the "favorite" make/model responses. As suggested you just need to test drive; use comparisons, friends recommendations etc. I was a long time 35mm user and now that I've DSLR there are so many great features a DSLR offers. Your 2 choices look good just go out and test drive.
