I have lots of famous fall in the Columbia George, east of Portland OR. I am shamed to says That I have not spent a day shooting them. In the winter thay are all frozen, and quite beautiful.

I have been there twice to shoot them. They are absolutely beautiful. Lots of hiking to get to some but oh so worth it when you get there.

Thanks for looking. Now get out and shoot those falls. Especially those along highway 30 like Multnomah and Horsetail which are very easy to get to.

Have had the GT1544T tripod for several years now and have travelled extensively with it. I really like how small it folds up and although I do lose some vertical advantage, the compactness of this tripod has made travelling a breeze. When I get to my destination I now have a sturdy, reliable tripod to use for those long exposure shots. I have put a RRS BH-40 ballhead on this as well as the arca-swiss plate so switching my cameras from one tripod to the next is a breeze as well. I also have taped some D-rings to the tripod and attached an old neck strap to them and can then put the tripod over my shoulder for hands free hiking. Invest the money if you can. You will not regret it.

Martian grows a little of this, a little of that. Like everything else, his daylilies just love that special fertilizer he uses.
