I'm using the Canon Nanoscan 9000F and it works great...be advised no matter what scanner you use, the slides/prints have to be as clean and dust fee as possible
I don't care what they call it...nice pics though
CanonShot, We rented in Anchorage and spent most of our time in the Anchorage area and south. Probably couldn't have had worse weather but still loved it. Went to Denali for a day trip, left early from Anchorage, long, took the tour bus (reservation required) into the park but at that time in late May, the park road was not fully opened all the way, then back that evening....sun never seems to set. Day trips to Talkeetna, Seward, Alyeska, then Whittier for glacier tours. Itching to go back
Thanks Jerry, loved it up there, a visual smorgasbord.
nimbushopper....as you well know these Huey Gunships, Slicks & Loaches could take an extraordinary amount of hits and still keep ticking (flying)...Thank God for the invention of Duct Tape though 😉.....and with the exception of two times, always brought me home...
If you're driving take everything you own...if on a tour, minimize to the necessities
We rented a car and spent 6 days driving around, plus boat rides....900 miles plus and there's still so much to see, most expansive landscapes I've ever seen, sorry Patagonia. May of this year was brutally cold and rainy including a snowstorm at Alyeska...only about 2 days with sun and then only partial, half day of sun at Denali. Taking a train ride on the next trip, thanks
Nice pics especially from an aircraft....and btw, nothing is cheap these days anymore
Two options; they either beat the air into submission or the earth rejects them....I prefer #2 😂😂 Thanks for your service
Shame, loved to have seen that....we had a Grizzly walk buy the bus about 30 yards away, no one got out and he sauntered down the road, in fact he stopped to scratch his back on a tree adjacent to the road....couldn't get a shot as the bus was moving away. But, just before the bus started a Back Wolf darted across the road in front of the bus, too fast for a pic though....definitely going back
Lots of birding opportunities...hereabouts, especially when winter gets here, lots of 'Snowbirds', pun intended, lol...enjoy
This past May while in Denali wife & I were walking along the main (only) park road on a 'bus break' road and saw Willow Ptarmigan was walking up and over a ridge line, at least got a quick pop on this one...its in the process of changing from its winter plumage to Summer Brown.
Nice, really nice, that single Teal in the weeds is gorgeous
