When I was in India, at tourist sites there were photographers who would take you picture, and sell you a 5 x 7 print. They had a portable batter-powered printer which produced the image from the memory card. I imagine these printers are readily available.

If your games are high school games, Maxpreps has a photographer network where you can post your galleries right after the game, and they pay 100% of the proceeds to the photographer. www.maxpreps.com

Here is a link to their photographer's network.

I think that's wishful thinking but we'll see soon enough.

Since you found the need to correct me, let me correct your correction:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1029861-REG/sony_ilce6000_b_alpha_a6000_mirrorless_digital.html

Since MY suggestion was the A6000, I suggest that you address the cost of the other camera with the person who suggested it....

By which Cholly is saying the A6000, body only is under $600.

However, the OP just might want a lens to go with that...

If you add a lens you are up to $748

Keep in mind the images in Matt Granger's review were JPGS...therefore processed in the camera.

RAW files will tell the real truth about the cameras iso capabilities. How many stops can the shadows be pushed, and when they are...what will we see???????

True, but if the jpegs are that good, I don't think the RAW files will be worse!

Another issue. I thought the 7DII was used during the World Cup. At least that was the rumor. Has anyone seen any pictures claiming to be 7DII shots of the World Cup?

I have seen something that this new battery can be used in the other Canon bodies.

Not sure. I had heard you can use the old batteries with the new camera, so I guess the other direction would also work.

I suggest that you re-read your claims re the effects on area of view and telephoto effects of a 70 -200 lens on a rop sensor camera.
Seems you've got it backwards.

Guys, we're getting back to projecting our standards on the OP. We don't know anything about the condition of his wallet or his true needs.

In my case, my wallet is always fairly flat. I started off in his position, and discovered that I could never get quite the picture I wanted in museums, because the aisles weren't wide enough, so I ended up buying a Sigma 10mm-20mm lens from someone on eBay with the snazzy slogan "when you can't back up any more" ... his slogan exactly matched my particular need, his price matched what I was able to scrape up, and my next visit to the Henry Ford Museum yielded the picture I hadn't gotten before.

Later, I felt a need to get more telephoto. I had an old 70mm-300mm lens from my film camera days, but I didn't want to lug too much weight on bird-watching walks with my wife, so I went through the same process and ended up with a Tamron 18mm-270mm.

That was my wallet and my needs. Your mileage may differ ... in fact, I'm thinking that almost every person will approach situations a little differently, so we need to be careful about posts that basically say "that is simply not a good solution" or "this is the only viable solution".
Guys, we're getting back to projecting our standar... (show quote)

This is why I suggested earlier that the OP shoot for a while and see what it is they like to shoot and keep as a guide to buying a lens to match their use.

I won't try to change your mind as you build a set of primes. But I can tell you that the Sigma 18-35mm is as sharp as a bag of primes across the image even wide open. Stopped down it only gets better. Few primes within it's focal range by any manufacturer are sharper with less distortion on a DX body. My copy, albeit on a Canon body, is simply phenomenal.

I agree the 18-35 is great. I have it and love it. But a consideration for someone who likes primes is not just the quality, but the weight. The 18-35 is one heavy lens at 1.78 lbs. The Nikor 20 1.8 is about half that at 12.7 oz.

It is not the decision I would make since they are the same price, but someone who likes primes and it matches their style might be quite happy with the 20.

I don't know about NY, I live in California. Here the sales tax for items bought in other states is called "use tax", and you are required by law to pay it. Very few people do pay it, and enforcement is basically nonexistent. But as a business owner with a sales tax account, if I were ever to be audited, they would check for out of state purchases, so I pay it.

I do not think there is a state with a sales tax where the tax is anything but a tax on the purchaser. Vendors are required to collect it and turn it in to the state but the tax is paid by the purchaser, either at the time of sale or later through another collection method usually linked to an income tax form.

The best qualified person to decide will be you after you get fully acquainted with the lens you already own . That' a major part of the learning process. Avoid being seduced by the lovely toys so as to not impoverish yourself by accumulating shelves full of dust catching paper weights .

The 7D2 has uses both SD and CF cards. Does anyone know why it does not just use two slots of the same type? I would be moving up from a t3i and just want to understand why the two types of cards.

Echo the Sigma 18-35 1.8. It rocks. Sigma also makes a very solid 30mm 1.4 for APS-C, which gives a 45mm equivalent @$499.00.

Both are part of their Art series.
