OK I stand (or sit)corrected.. By the way what does James Bond have to do with it? LOL
One of my favorite cartoon dipicts JB straped to a table tilted into a vertical position (in the left of the frame). A large machine is suspended in front of him (center of the panel). A large man petting a cat stands to the right. The man says "This is no ordinary printer Mr. Bond, this is a Laser Printer!!!"
It is from a PC Magazine in the late 80's

Was it here on UHH or in a magazine?

Can't fault you on that. I went there maybe twice. Never again unless a search takes me to something specific.
Given the ages of some on the Hog (myself included), "Does anyone recall?" is a rather loaded question.

I observed a native American ceremony last year where there was an emphatic request for no "big cameras with telescope (sic) lenses". Little cameras were ok. My Canon S100 was ok but the guys with the big DSLR were not welcome. A guy with a Fuji X-M1 was ok, too. Both the Fuji and my as Canon were more capable of being intrusive as a DSLR but were not perceived as such.
Of course that is not US Pubic land. That is tribal land and very different.

There are many things related to photography that do not directly mention cameras or lenses. Photographic paper is just as important as a camera in that a print displays the photograph. Photo paper comes out of the printer unless there is some magical technology. The printer is connected to a computer. Can't have one without the other. I don't understand why Admin moved the post.
But that is "PHOTOGRAPHIC" paper.
The question
"Do you like bond paper?"
Is different than:
"Do you like bond paper for printing photographs?"
One of them is photography related and one is not.

Quote, "This is where we talk about anything related to photography." Objectively, a computer used to post process photography is, in fact, photography related. Subjectively, one could suggest otherwise. The other day I posted a serious request for information regarding RAM upgrade for my iMac, 21.5" Mid-2011 computer. Admin moved my request to the Chit-Chat forum. This really upset me because I refuse to participate in the Chit-Chat or Attic forums because most of the content offends me. I had to seek my information elsewhere and I wasn't able to obtain practical informed information from my peers in photography. I realize and concur that there are postings that need to be moved. I PM'ed Admin, of course, and I did not receive a reply. I enjoy UHH and participating has been a great benefit to me and I hope that in a small way that I have helped others. I don't think that questions regarding computers as related to photography should be removed from this discussion page.

Apple doesn't sell the memory (4GB x 4) for this model any longer. Amazon is selling 4 - 4GB sticks for under $200.00. I currently have 4GB (2 x 2GB). Do any guru's know of any issues I should be aware of?
Perhaps if you had inserted that you use this machine for all your post processing, it would have been seen as photography related. However, the way you stated it, it was a question about computer memory unrelated to photography.
I know you may use it for photography, but someone could ask about where to buy a nice pink dress. Maybe they plan to use it in a shoot, maybe they are looking for a gift for their wife. Admin cant tell, if it is not in the question. Should the issue be left in the main section because there might be a photography connection?
I think they made the right call on this one.
Next time state the issue in terms of photography not just some general chit-chatty way.
From my understanding, in most US jurisdictions anything that is in the reach of tidal waters is public. So everything up to the high-tide point is public even at low-tide.
Any lawyers out there familiar with this issue?

This might, of course, bring up the question of "what is public?" Would private businesses have the right to prohibit photography, just as they do the possession of concealed weapons? Could we actually see a camera with a slash through it right next to a gun with that same symbol?
They have that right already. Many privately owned places of public accommodation have camera restrictions now. Where it gets sticky is publicly owned places.

In the US they would have to accept that. However, in the US, they have the right to ask and you have the right to say no.

Thanks to all above. Used your thoughts to think it through and advice. After already buying the original broken one, budget didn't seem to lend itself to the T5 for now.
Took your advice and purchased at T3i. Seems like there is enough of a difference to upgrade for the money. Can't wait to get it and get back to learning. Always looking for good things on You Tube. Have some books but I'm a slow learner.
Thanks to the UH community.
Good luck and enjoy your new camera!

I had the same phone. The Droid RAZR Maxx HD is way out outdated compared to newer android offerings and is still more feature rich than the current iPhones
Exactly my point! Still, the phone is like a camera. Get the one that matches how you use it. The iPhone is just too limited for me. It is perfect for my wife. Except she is currently experiencing program closures when using facebook.
