Just between the Nikon D7200 and Canon 80D, I would choose the D7200 with 18-140 lens. The IQ is very good too.

Interesting. I wouild expect the price to drop when a camera is being replaced by one that is presumably better.

I felt the same way. The current price for a new D3300 is $546.95 at B&H and $549.99 at Best Buy. That's about +$100 over what it was 2 months ago.

Forgetfulness going to a foreign country definitely caused you a big headache. On you next trip I bet that charger will be packed first.

According to The New Camera, Nikon is to stop producing Nikon D3300 cameras this year. Introduced in 2014, the replacement is rumored to be the D3500. The D3300 was voted best bargain entry level DSLR earlier this year. Nikon has already raised the price on the D3300. About $100. Anyone owning the D3300 should check for current firmware updates. Despite the arrival of the D7200, the D7100 is still in production. Produced one year before the intro of the D3300.

A coworker bought an Indian Motorcycle about 12 years ago. They always asked him why didn't he buy a Harley. His reply was, you guys just don't know. The photos of the Indian and Mustang are beautiful shots. The Mustangs had 289, 351 cu. in engines in the early heydays.

A 12.1 megapixels $150 fixed lens camera, that Canon sells refurbished, against a Sony a77II with 20+ megapixels, is a comparison that one would never think about. But it was interesting to see. I'll take the a77II any day of the week over a Canon SX50.

Many weeks back a uhh member posted a similar topic about photography mishaps. The topic runneth over with stories of your kind. I think everyone has had at least one mishap. We learn from our mistakes, don't we?

I didn't know Tokina made such a lens. I remember years back, Phoenix Brand, made a similar mirror lens that required a T-mount adapter. A friend had one, paid about $100 or less for it. He used a tripod and in bright sunlight it wasn't that bad. Of course it is not a Canon or Nikon lens. I would check DP Review and see what they say about this lens.

Having seen so many of B&W movies on TCM, I can say that the photo in color is delightful to look at. IMO. The rusted vehicle and the blue sky are exposed.

Sony cameras, especially the mirrorless, don't always fair well with aftermarket adapters. I have heard about aftermarket adapter problems even with Sony A-mounts to E-mount cameras.

I watched the video. This is not new news. We spend 8 hours a day on the job looking at a computer screen, and at least 4 hours at home among family members. That's 12 hours, half a day. And smartphones to be included.

The Pentax K-1 full frame 36 megapixels, is under contract in having some of their lenses made by Tamron, I have been told. You may want to check this out for sure. I heard it on this forum.

I shoot with a Nikon D7200, and it seems the eyepiece comes off very easily...I have lost it several times. Does anyone else have this problem? What can be done about it?

Super glue it. It won't come off. I promise you. Use sparingly of course.

I remember the 2002 movie "One Hour Photo" where a photographer, Robin Williams, was obsessed with one family taking photos of them. He was mentally deranged. Could that happen in real life? Who knows.
