There are CF/SD card adapters available, too.

I wonder if this adapter will work on the CF Card version of the Nikon D5?

Bought a refurb Nikon. It came in a box like a new camera, and with all the accessories. Works like a charm.

I've been told the Nikon refurbished cameras and lenses now come in plain brown boxes? Not an issue of course. When Adorama sold refurbished Nikon D7200s earlier this year for $769, that was the bargain of the year.

What a difference a decade makes in memory card storage production. Ranging from 16MBs to 4GBs on CF cards back then for the Nikon D70, 6.1 megapixels. Now they make 64+ gigabytes on today's media. 4gb was king back then. I would give it a try it as Jerry suggested.

Surprised your sister in law didn't keep the Olympus E-500 as a backup. Probably decided it was a camera she no longer was fond of anymore. Your 8 year old (he or she) will love it though, in due time. And a hands on tutor to go with it. You.

You really get the most out of your Canon 100-400II lens. The teleconverter got you even closer. This is the sharpest moonshot I've seen taken with a DSLR.

My grandmother used to tell me that you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip. You did. Excellent work.

Yea, it didn't come out to bad...one can even read the words on the plant "Sikeston Power Station"...that's how I figured out what it was.

Yes, you can read the words on the building. A 1200mm focal length did the job, and more. I once saw your Sony fixed lens camera on display at Target Store last year. I almost bought it.

The Sony a6000 does well with the 16-50mm and 55-210mm lenses. That's why Sony paired them in the first place.

I'm in Germany on vacation and see a lens I'm interested in at a large authorized camera store in Munich. If I purchased the lens, would Canon USA consider it a gray market?

A camera or lens purchased from overseas is considered gray market, and in most cases is not eligible for a Canon USA warranty. The warranty will be from Germany. It may be wise to call Canon USA Support before buying, and see what they say, and provide a serial number of the lens. You claim it is from a Canon Authorized Camera Store in Munich, Germany. Perhaps an exception if you have the original purchase invoice.

This has been taking place in TN for years. They call it "Policing for profit". In fact some of these thieving Police departments actually fund their departments with confiscated money. It's a real racket and they can't seem to stop it. Anyone caught with a large amount of cash a is automatically assumed to be a drug dealer, even if the cash is legitimate the citizen sometimes still cannot get it back. Talk about corruption!!

Police steal large amounts of money from drug dealers everyday. Turn in a smaller amount to the department, make a report to get credit for the bust. If $40,000 is confiscated, maybe $4500 is turned in to the police. The rest tax free. Prepaid credit cards don't generally get to that amount.

The "Architectural And Traditional Street Photography" section displays numerous pictures in which people are the primary subject matter and the section also displays street photography in which buildings are a primary subject. In short, it has both. Don't know why the separate exclusionary "Street Photography" section even exists.

Interesting. I just learned something today. Good answer that makes sense.

I knew someone who was a street photographer many years ago..He used a 50mm 1.8 prime lens on a film camera. He would strike up a conversation with his subjects, young, old, male, female, on the streets, taking photos of them with permission. Bus stops, mobile hot dog stands, cafes, recreational centers, and parks were some of his choices for photography. He would put together an inexpensive portfolio and show friends with remembrances of the conversation he had with them. Much like this forum. This is different than just taking a wide angle view of the White House in DC or any structure. IMO.
