Both are nice, but my vote goes to the B&W.

Very nicely done. I do not think JR1 should have touched up the photo. The original post was not asking for corrections, and photos should not be messed with unless the person is requesting it be done.

Both are great, but I like #1 a tad better.

I have the 150-500. It's a pretty good lens, takes clear pics, etc., but it is a little on the heavy side. For that reason, I do not use it a lot.

I also use Corel Paintshop Pro X5. I have used the previous versions as well. Great program. Get the Pro X5 Ultimate and you get a number of other free programs. Corel has a special on now where you get the complete NIK Color Efex Pro X3 program when you buy the Corel Pro X5 Ultimate.

I have one of these lenses takes 77mm filters it is a very good wide angle lens got it for my Canon 550D/Rebel T2i I use it occasionally for wide angle shots in cathedral's I would rather not use it for landscapes it is not effective but architecture shots it gives good results.

I am not sure what you mean when you say it is not effective for landscapes. It is an excellent landscape lens.

I also have this lens on a Canon 50D. I agree with banjonut. Its a great lens. Very sharp pictures, and highly recommended.

I have the lens and am very pleased with the results. I would also give it a 9.

You might also want to have a look a t Corel Paintshop ProX5 Ultimate. Its a great editing program and does the HDR. Corel has a promotion on now, where you get the program and $250.00 in extras for about $59.00. Or you can download the trial version.

I have the Epson Pro 9000 Mark II. It is a dedicated photo printer, and prints excellent photos. Has 8 ink tanks. But, it will cost you more than your listed price range.

I use the Sigma 10-20 mm on my Canon 50D. It's a great lens. Crisp, clear pictures, and worth every cent. It may be a bit pricey but you truly do get what you pay for.

You will not get any moon detail with the settings you used. Your ISO is way too high and your exposure is too long. Also, you will get much better results when photographing a quarter or half moon, and placing your primary focus area where light meets dark --it will pick up the shadows in the crators much better.
