I hope that your suggestion about Storme works out and I will have good photos from our trip in a month. I have supported several similar organizations. Can you send a link so I can donate by mail? We use pretax dollars for our charitable donations so we don't usually donate via internet or credit card, except political donations.

Hi!!! I imagine you will be THRILLED with your trip!!!

I would be beyond thankful for any donation of any amount, everything helps! Here is a photo of the current little orphan we are helping with! Her name is Khanyisa (which means Sunshine in a native language called Shona). She is an albino and only a few months old and ended up caught in a trappers snare. Thankfully she was rescued and is at a brand new orphanage in South Africa! I am so happy to start helping them! We are currently doing a fundraiser to help with an Oximeter that the orphanage is "desperate" for!

Our Mailing Address is:

Elephant Allies
4850 Golden Parkway
Suite B179
Buford, GA 30518

Thank you for even considering helping!! It means so much to me! and I cannot wait to see your photos!!!

You let me know when you’re ready and I’ll start looking! I’ll have to find a transport that goes to your area, I’ll start looking :)

I, may very well contact you about a rescue Be able. Maggie would be named in honor of my Mom Margaret, who died when I was eight. Sam because my oldest Son was gifted a Be agle his first Christmas after being discharged from the his second deployment of Fallujah in Iraq. His unit saw heavy action. He, had great success with training his Beagle. He took my chosen name of Gus. Drat him. Would you be open to sending a rescue Beagle my way. At my expense?

Awe that's great! Sounds like you have support and names, you're ready to go!

Earplugs are a great idea. The apartments are in two unit buildings and the older lady in my building doesn't seem to like me for some reason. I've been very nice to her but, you can't please everybody. The two office ladies and, the neighbor across from me have said, be damned and get a a Beagle. I don't care about female/male. I've already chosen their names, Maggie or Sam.

Oh man if you were down here I could find you a beagle in a nanosecond! Sadly, we see them all of the time. I love their beagle songs 😉 hopefully you find one easily when you’re ready! Maybe just pass out earplugs to the neighbors when you bring him/her home 😂❤️

You are very welcome and, there's no better place to seek help. You are doing God's work. I am considering a dog this spring. I'm a Beagle lover but, rescue Beagle's can be hard to find in my area. Also, a couple of my neighbors might want to shoot me when it goes into baroo mode. It's music to my ears but, I live in an apartment complex.

Thank you Bob, I appreciate your support! ! I’m exploring that now as well! I also have some of my own that I’ve been using and of course I am using the nonprofits, but I figured there’s no better place to get attention grabbing photos than this group!

Nothing prohibited about that. I hope you find people who are willing to share with you. You might also consider using wildlife publications or, stock photo sites. I believe the cost of stock photos is very reasonable. I, and many others respect your work in your nonprofits and applaud you. You are doing noble work. Thank you! Good luck!

Hello! This may seem off topic (and I am not totally sure it's allowed but if not I am sure it will be removed!) but I am hoping for some help/support from anyone willing to lend it! Long story short - I run a nonprofit based in Atlanta, Georgia which is all volunteer run and we rescue dogs from shelters (it is called Releash Atlanta). I have been doing this for about 5 years and running a nonprofit is almost second nature to me!

Now, to pivot to the point of this post - I went to Africa in October and my love for elephants that I have had ever since I was a child exploded into overdrive and I came home and made a second nonprofit, this one specifically to help them! I have found a WONDERFUL African based organization that my nonprofit (Elephant Allies) is intended to support. 100% of what I raise will be given to them, and as a US based nonprofit, US donors get the tax write off. We are the ONLY US based nonprofit intended to help them - and they do AMAZING work!

What I am hoping for is:

A) maybe a like and a share if you're interested and if you're on facebook! Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/theelephantallies/?modal=admin_todo_tour

B) any photos that you wouldn't mind me posting on our facebook page! Some of you all have AMAZING elephant photos and I would love to use any that you'd be willing to share with me! Just email info@elephantallies.org and tell me how you'd like to be given credit OR maybe you can add them here if that's easier!

Thank you for taking a moment to read about my mission and I hope to see all of you follow along on our Facebook page! For any questions - check out elephantallies.org ❤️🐘❤️

I have a canon EOS R and tamron and sigma lenses I have works perfectly on the adapter.

I currently have two Canon APS-C cameras, and a number of lenses, some of which are APS-C and some are full-frame. Some of the lenses are Canon brand, but others are Tamron and Sigma lenses with Canon mounts. Question: Will the non-Canon lenses work on a Canon R or RP camera with the Canon adapter? I feel that theoretically they should, but also know that Canon might build a chip into the adapter to test for genuine Canon lenses.

Thank you! That’s something I need to look into. It’s for wildlife at night and I think a beam extender sounds like something I’d need. I know with flashes and wildlife at night it’s important to not blind them so I am not sure what is best for a fast lighting situation. I’m pretty clueless on flashes like this.

Hello! I’m considering buying a flash for my Canon EOS R, but don’t know which type is best for what I want to do. The only flash I’ve used has been on my camera and I didn’t have to make a decision about types and on/off camera, etc.

It will be for nighttime photography of animals and used for a fill when there are shadows on subjects etc (but that will be more rare).

Can anyone recommend a flash to buy?

Thank you! And I bought one of the pieces actually. This is the mom, Ravenscourt ❤️ drawn by a local guide that got to see her in her prime.

Wow - you're storytelling was very moving. I got a little emotional there toward the end (sniff). The photo series is terrific and you definitely captured the swagger. If you had the opportunity to capture any images of the locals tribute work that you described, I think it'd be a great addition.
