Steven: one thing is clear, you guys love to call people liars. Then, no trouble supporting Trump and Hawley and MTG, etc. The lies you want to believe are ok. But, you look hard to find excuses and unt***hs in order to call reasonable honest people liars. All politics to you guys. Politics over Country.

Kraken: I just had a shoulder replacement. I understand the kind of thing recovery/rehab is. Slow usually. I am so glad to hear that you are doing well and quickly recovering.
It was gratifying to see people on both sides of the aisle putting aside differences to encourage another. It really made me feel good.

As for “Warp Speed” great to take credit, but really what did he do? As well, once there was a v*****e, he had no idea or plan to distribute it. What good is it sitting in a warehouse, hoping it would somehow move?

In fact, I have been very careful not to use such offensive terms. Of course, that does not mean that I believe every thing you say is true. Kraken: You were wrong about Dennis. He was right when he implied I may have eaten apple pie. Why, just yesterday I had a slice. I appreciated your recent response. I congratulate you on your business successes. Having experience in the business world I know how difficult that is. That you did it speaks volumes for your drive, initiative, and character. In my support for the Infrastructure plan, I am not suggesting handouts. I want people to have opportunities. As difficult as success must have been for you, there are many people who for one reason or another are never going to be able to duplicate your success. We cannot economically afford to leave millions upon millions behind. The www
is as important today as a bridge, highway or rail system. It is today, a very real part of Infrastructure. Without the ability to have Internet service readily and easily available, millions of children (and adults) will never be able to compete in this Country or in the world. They cannot be left behind. We must equalize their opportunities. In other countries, successful ones, this opportunity is being made available. We are falling behind, way behind many other countries. Travelling overseas this is quite obvious. Education is aligned with this issue. No one wants a garbage dump in their neighborhood or a prison and no one wants to pay more in taxes. This is especially true once the kids have grown up. However, we need healthy investment in such matters as education. If people are poor, who will buy the automobiles, refrigerators, socks, shoes, books, etc. that we produce. We cannot have CEO’s and billionaires paying no tax or less in taxes than the line worker. We need to balance the tax burden.
As for jobs, if the money invested is spent on construction, design, etc. the job opportunities for huge numbers of people becomes available. Again, this gets the overall economy going. It will “grease the wheels.”
The money for all this is to be spread over 10 years. It is investment long overdue. It is vital for our own economy and that will allow us to be as vital a nation on the world stage as we, in the past, have been. Long, long overdue. We did a Marshall plan for Europe and got the Japanese industries going. Why do we not have the energy to do this investment in ourselves? It can be our Marshall plan, making America even Greater again.
You wrote twice that a******n should be something other than birth control. I would hope that people do not choose to go through the stress and rigors of a******n lightly, not to mention the soul-searching it must cause a person to undertake. I think you underestimate what people go through. I assume you took your a******n incredibly seriously, but was it medically necessary? Was there a reason that would survive the high standards set by Texas law? I don’t want to know. I put it out there asking that you consider the very real plight many other women face daily. Might many of them have very serious issues in their own right?
Lastly, I was sorry to hear that at some point you had lost your husband. It saddened me. The problem with this sight is that the common comments get so vile and vitriolic that it becomes hard to be sensitive when responding or beginning a thread. It does not need to be so, but there are some who post here that seem to feel this is a license to insult and freely offend. Most people would not choose to be so unkind if they had to meet and talk with the people they revel in offending. Then again, there are a few who try mightily to hurt others and enjoy thinking they have and that it is their right to do so. I have given up asking people to turn down the nastiness level. It has done no good. There are those comments I read that incentivize my desire to be snarky back. Nonetheless, that accomplishes nothing and is childish. I, for one, should continue to try to be better. I doubt my efforts will change anything, but I do refrain from name-calling and do not reach the level of some of our cohorts. As Rodney King once said, “…why can’t we all just get along.”

Hey buddy: when you or anybody else talks up their patriotism, anyone can question it. You have questioned me on many things. When you call me a liar, you have questioned my honesty. Who the heck are you to question my honesty? I have never lied on here. I don’t care what you think, in any way. However, if you think you can lecture me on what I can or can’t question, you need to work a lot harder and get a lot smarter!
