Yes Nalu, we often see them in a sleepy state, but not almost leaning over like this... Glad you like it

SOLD (Marketplace)
Purchased new 05-2019 (Henryโ€™s in Canada) with transferable extended warranty (05-2022). Full Frame and APS-C compatible. Great shape, non-smoker, no pets.
Liked this lens so much I purchased the new E 70-350G that was not available in 2019 since I have the a6000.
As good as new and longer warranty!
Price 875USD

Every year! Actually, turkey broth that I split in portions and store in the freezer for later use as the base for different soups... Instead of chicken cubes or bottled "concentrate" with the never ending list of ingredients. Why not use the real thing!

They will work ...but you won't get full capability.
If you plan on upgrading your Sony body at some point...and want to keep old lenses...this is what will give you the maximum.

Now with high MP cameras (sony A7RIV)...older lenses won't perform...no matter what. Any optical limits will be apparent right away.

With my 9 Sony A-Mount lenses...only the 70-400 and the 135 STF holds up to the sensor optically. I have to shoot in 26MP crop mode for the older Minoltas. frankly... I stopped messing with them pretty much.
Once you attach a Sony 135mm f/1.8 E-Mount...you can't go back. The drop off is too noticeable.
They will work ...but you won't get full capabilit... (show quote)

Thanks for your point of view Canisdirus, food for thought... Cheers, Louis

I use Arca-Swiss "L" bracket I got off of eBay for under $20. I then took my grinder and ground down less than 1/4 off the front base plate so that the LA-EA4 would no longer hit it. I wish Sony had the LA-EA5 out years ago to solve the problem. But for now, I'll just use my LA-EA4 with the ground down Arca-Swiss bracket.

Thanks ORpilot for this possible workaround... Cheers, Louis

The model '4' has 15 built-in focus points. AF tracking is minimal.
The newer '5' gives access to everything your E-mount camera has to offer...the newer models anyway.

So fast action lenses get a major boost...and Sony gives you a built in motor again...so no Minolta lens is left behind in any way.

Thanks for the details Canisdirus

Heh...put your glasses on.

Edit: I need my glasses too evidently. Poster has a S 6000 ... so it won't gain all of his focus points. The S 6600 will.

This is the last and very best adapter Sony will make for A-Mount lenses. It's worth the upgrade.

Shoot...! Now my LA-EA4 just lost a lot of resale value
The LA-EA4 is still listed at 450$ CAD and the new and better LA-EA5 is 330$ CAD, go figure...

I make limited use of the LA-EA4, mostly with my Minolta 100mm Macro, so an appropriate 25$ L-Bracket would do the job and be an easy fix.

Still, good to know of all the options. Guess I will sleep over it

Thanks Canisdirus!

Hmmmmmmmmmm..I looked briefly but I thought if they had those then they would have had the a6000. Did you look at SmallRig?

Thanks again SteveG, yes I looked at all the links you sent me. The cage is overkill and I should have mentionned in the original post "Arca-Swiss" L-bracket.
There are slim (without Arca-Swiss) L-brackets, but the Arca-Swiss L-Bracket I have extends too far up front to allow me to add the LA-EA4 adapter.

Thanks SteveG, I had a look at you links and they have L-brackets for a64000 and a6600, but no a6000...?

Hello fellow Hoggers,
Wondering if any of you know an L-bracket that will not get in the way of the LA-EA4 adapter?
Thanks!
