#1 was about a 20% crop. It is amazing how talented those pilots really are. Considering the speed and tight groups. Scary!
Thanks everyone. I am using a Canon 7Dmk2, 100-400mm zoom f4.5/5.6L USM II, 1/1000-1/1250, F5.6 -6.3 100 iso Handheld.
My trip to Ocean City MD. for the airshow was unfortunately cut short but I did manage to get a few Photos.
Thanks for all the input. I will post some photos from the air show when i get back next week. Happy Fathers day to all you dads. Have a great weekend!
I agree. I have the pleasure of being able to view the show from a hotel balcony on the Boardwalk just right of "center stage". I will also have family members sitting on the beach just outside the paid viewing area. I'll be able to shoot from the balcony on Saturday and the beach on Sunday. Should be a great weekend to test my skills or lack there of.
Thanks CHG. That's what I thought . The good news is that I have 2 days to figure out what works best. I plan on enjoying the show and hopefully get a couple keepers as well. Again, thanks for your respected advice.
Thank you all for the great advice. I also have the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS EF II USM. Do you think that and the extender would be long enough? That combo would give me more Focusing points as well.
Thanks for the advice. Will do.
Got it! Thanks again for the info and advice about keeping the sand away from the camera. Great minds must think alike - LOL- That's exactly what I do when I take my gear to the beach.
Thanks for the info. I do a lot of BIF shots and found IS 2 works best for me. What does Setting 3 do differently? I will certainly take your advice and use setting 3 but was just wondering what the difference is. I agree that panning jets is a lot harder than BIF LOL. I'll do my best. Thanks again
Hello Fellow Hogs.
I will be heading out to the Ocean City Md. Air Show this weekend and was looking for so helpful pointers from anyone who may have experience shooting this type of event. I will be taking my 7Dmk2 , 100-400mm zoom f4.5/5.6L USM II and 1.4X III Extender (if needed). Any/all input would be greatly appreciated.
The price that you are referring to is for the case only. You need to add the additional cost of the trekpack insert.
Thank you.
Pelican model 1520 with Trekpak insert. Paid $240 new. For sale for $175 OBO
No problem. Let me know when you decide. Thank you.
The case in your link is for the case only- no foam. You have to choose what insert to use to devide the case.
