I just signed in after being away from the internet most of the yesterday and found this challenge up to 47 pages! I wish I had time right now to go back through and view everything!
What I have seen are many beautiful photos taken with much skill and love, so to those of you I missed commenting on, please know that I am loving what I see! Keep it up!

For cute it may be this one.
Group photo excursion to Newcatle botanical gardens, NSW, Australia.
I was using a Canon 100-400 lens (with a monopod) to just reach in and grab things like flowers & dragonflies.
The kangaroo just hopped onto the path and took a look at me and then hopped off (it is a wild animal). Just had a few sconds for a few shots.
Fair bit of PPing to bring out the details from the shaddows.

Ohhh - adorable!

Gee that is nice. My night shots are in Bulb Mode. What is cool in this mode is that you can take as many as you want, changing your exposition time, then play on Photomatix. I have tried with five shots. Time consuming but better than watching a soap on TV

I used to regularly do 5 shots in daylight, but I gave up on 5 at night because of how long the shutter stayed open on the brighter exposures. Three seemed to be enough - and there was less ghosting. I would still do 5 during the day with a tripod, but with handheld, three is often too much!

This was a rare opportunity for me to photograph an owl so these are favorites also. they were taken in the Rocky River Nature Center.

I love wildlife photography - it isn't easy to get up-close! These are wonderful, photophile.

I've been working on capturing fireworks for some time. This was almost a delete but became the top winner in a local calendar contest. The fireworks were happening across the bay from this lighthouse park. The Portland Symphony was on the opposite shore performing the Annual Independence Pops concert. The sky was lit with search lights, light from the concert venue and many little boats in the harbor. Crowds were on either side of the harbor. It has become one of my favorites. Nikon D 750, Bulb mode, RAW, ISO 100, f22 110 MM 9.6seconds. Cropped, worked the shadows and highlights as well as exposure and saturation. Did some dodging around the lighthouse and shorelines. When I brought up the exposure the whole scene came alive.

I've never had much success with fireworks! These are wonderful! Great shots, Pat.

Another favorite, but I worked hard for this one. We were in downtown Dallas at night. I had brought my tripod along, knowing that a night shoot would require something steadier than my hand. The focal point was the fountain, which was lit from within. I bracketed most of my shots (3 each). There were about 14 different views (over 40 shots, total). I was shooting with a Pentax K-7 using the basic 18-55 mm zoom lens, 26 mm, ISO-400, f/11 (aperture priority). Post processing was with Photomatix.

This is one of my favorite shots - but it was a total accident. I was at work early, standing on my desk with my camera in my right hand, holding the blinds open with my left hand, trying to get a shot of the rising sun lighting up the building across from me. I took several shots in hopes of catching the sun just right. Most of the shots were OK, but nothing special. But when I saw this image on my computer screen I had one of those moments when you realize this was the shot you didn't know you wanted. No Post Processing on this one.

Pentax K-7, f/22, 1/8 sec, ISO-800, 18mm
