Me, out at first light in the rain and sleet, freezing my patootie, or this little guy, bedded down in the shelter of a scrub oak obviously enjoying his breakfast a second time. Nikon 810, Nikor 28-300 at 140mm, F5.6, 1/40 sec.
Same conditions as #1, heavy smoke from the wildfires, but this time I brought my tripod and Nikor 80-400.
A few years back, smoke from wild fires covered South Central Alaska, no photo opportunities at all, but I took my camera with me anyway.
I am sure that these are escapees.
#3, love the colors, nice shot.
Posing, as soon as I put the camera away, they jumped down from the fence. Nikon 810, 28-300, ISO 800, F8, 1/1600 sec, needed faster shutter speed, the wind was blowing.
That would be my photography style. I usually carry my Nikon with 28-300 or 80-400, but the zoom is usually maxed out, not the whole valley, but one patch of color. Not the whole mountain but texture and shadow on the rocks.
First one that I have seen at the local duck pond, Nikon 810,28-300 at 300mm, ISO 200, F5.6, 1/1000 sec

Wish I had seen how they settled down. Nikon D810, Nikor 28-300 at 300 mm, ISO 200, F11, 1/80 sec.
Handheld (Braced on a fence post). Skull Valley Utah.
Have the Photographers Ephemeris on my phone, gives moon phase, time of moon rise and set, and direction. Sun rise and set also. Was able to scout location and plan for timing and shot.
From now on I will have to smile whenever I hear that line, thanks for the chuckle.
Moon rise over the Wasatch Mountains, Utah, Nikon 810. Nikor 80-400 at 400 mm.
