What a wonderful device you've found for him. I lost my Dad who had macular degeneration so bad that I'm sure he was leagally blind as well. His funeral was in January of 2023 so one of my favorite memories was quite early in the year as we gathered to celebrate his 102 years of life. Some of the favorite things happened there and some photos were taken to commemorate.....

Granddaughter is a catcher for her High School softball team. One reason I like this is her eyes are closed as well as the umps.

Great action shot - you grabbed it a nanosecond before the ball was caught!

So wonderful to see you, Sue. Wonderful portraits and some creative poses. Like the editing you've done too.

Thanks Pat! I rarely use reverse vignetting and it was a bit of a shock to see that most of these shots incorporated it!

This is a photo of my husband, who is legally blind. Most assistive devices are designed to make everyday tasks possible, such as a talking thermometer or a talking measuring tape. This device actually helps the blind see. For the visually impaired who benefit from magnification, this device is a miracle.

On our two-month road trip vacation in 2023, we stopped often to give hubby a chance to actually see things he has not been able to see in 30 years. This photo gives me more joy than any I have taken - ever.

I did enter this one in a contest but it wasn't a winner. However, being there was a highlight of my year.

For the past few years I have been working on two bodies of work - flower closeups and color infrared photos. Here are my 5 favorites of each for the year. All of them were shot in Golden Gate Park. I have come to realize the most important factor for me in both is color.

Just realized how few times I had the camera out this year.
Here's a few unfinished projects I started. I'll do better this year.
