Sometimes when you least expect it, right?
We are blessed to live a little in the country 70 miles north of NYC in the lower Hudson Valley. We currently have a nest of Phoebes in our carport, doves with the second set of babies in a wall planter on our deck and cardinals with three babies outside the dining room window. I have posted many pictures here G Rissler Genealogy, Photo Digitizing, Restoration and Photography on FB. https://www.facebook.com/grisslergroup/
As I was walking away from checking on the cardinals I looked back and saw this image. The rhododendrons are just starting to open the last couple days. My wifes housplant and wind chime added something so I just took a shot. Nothing special.
I always bring my gear. Will probably shot barns from the car as my fellow official drives.
We will get there late on Thursday. Our schedule is pretty full, but perhaps I could ask for a break. these events are tricky depending on if they have plenty of officials or are short. This event determines a couple different age groups as to who will be on the World Team. It's basically the same as the Olympic Trails on an non Olympic year. Email me at grissler@hvc.rr.com and we'll devise a plan to try.
Great shots. I'll be in Akron next week to officiate the U23 National Wrestling Championships.
That could be my yard here in NY. We have the same year round collection. Great shots.
Incredible photo. The depth of field is amazing.
Your wife and mine would get along great. Creative and a good eye. My wife was a visual merchandiser for Pier 1 imports for over 20 years. That was back when we also lived in TX. I built several stores at the Round Rock Outlet Mall.
A couple more shots, with a face. LOL I agree that it's a Red tailed hawk.
So, what kind of hawk is this? I'm going with the Red No-Face hark. LOL
One of my favorite birds to photograph.
