SL_L7897D A cold day for a female Bluebird by [

url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/136904201@N08/]Sherwood Lincoln[/url], on Flickr

A female Eastern Bluebird is attempting to stay warm; as our climate gets warmer, we see more Thrushes wintering over. (Robins, Veerys, etc.) Nesting occurs from March through August. "Only the female incubates the four to six eggs, which she maintains at a temperature of 98 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit". Have a super fantastic day. Photos are taken in South Eastern Ct. with a Canon 5D M or II 7D M II and Canon 100 to 400II or Sigma 24-105; THANK YOU.

Wonderful image!

Have researchers made an determination of why such a drastic decline in that birds population has occurred?

Stan

_D1A4472 Male Evening Grosbeak by Sherwood Lincoln, on Flickr

The current bird irruption has brought down Evening Grosbeaks in large numbers invading our bird feeders. It took a while but, a couple arrived here in my feeders. According to the pundits, Evening Grosbeaks are experiencing the steepest population decline (92% since 1970) of all land birds in the continental U.S. and Canada.

SL_L7268D Morning Dove in a snowstorm by Sherwood Lincoln, on Flickr

One of my favorite photos of a Morning Dove taken in a blizzard from my house. Sometimes I need a fix even in inclement weather, so when that happens, I resort to photographing birds close to my feeders. Thank you kindly for taking the time to view and make thoughtful and honest comments. I take my photos in South Eastern Ct. most with a Canon 7D M II or 5D M IV and Canon 100 to 400II, or Sigma 24 to 105. THANK YOU.

_D1A4827-D Coopers Hawk, I think? by Sherwood Lincoln, on Flickr

I don't mind, and I understand that a young Coopers Hawk (I think about ID) has a right to dinner, but you can't just camp here and harass and bully my feathered friends, so we talked. I am not sure this bird cares what I said. Have a super fantastic day, Photos are taken in South Eastern Ct. with a Canon 5D M or II 7D M II and Canon 100 to 400II, or Sigma 24 to105 THANK YOU.

IMG_8661-Bufflehead females by Sherwood Lincoln, on Flickr
One of my favorite shots a pair of Hen Buffleheads traveling at mach 5.2. ( I'm exaggerating a little) "Bufflehead ducks is one of the fastest waterfowl and can achieve flight speeds of up to (48 mph)". It never ceases to amaze me how good modern cameras work; in the flash of an instant with 8X or higher magnification, it is possible to focus and take ten pictures or more in one second. Have a super fantastic Superbowl day, and don,t forget to FRIEND and SHARE. Photos are taken in South Eastern Ct. with a Canon 5D M or II 7D M II and Canon 100 to 400II or Sigma 24-105; THANK YOU.

Thanks for your patients trying a new way to display images. I re-edited this Yellow Warbler. I just needed a little color in this cold, black and white winter, so this is my attempt to brighten up myself and my friends. Thank you. Have a super fantastic day!

Great view! From the excellent images in your flickr feed, consider using the embedded links rather than releasing (attaching) an image file here.

Don't understand, why?

The Northern Cardinal, one of the most ubiquitous backyard birds and most recognizable, is fair to say the red color is unique and beautiful. If it were not for its commonality, the multitudes would flock(pun intended) to get a picture. This picture is one looking southwest during a gale noreaster blowing about 40 mph. Thank you kindly

The only thing I could find good today... Just kidding, I am thankful for a lot of things, just not the weather. Well, at least it would make Ben Franklin happy. Thank you for taking your valuable time to view my photos. All photos are taken in South Eastern Ct. most with a Canon 5DMIV or 7DMII and Canon 100 to 400II lens or Sigma 24 to 105. Have a super fantastic day.

Not knowing what the end result is supposed to look like compared to the original... May help understand if I saw the original (source) image.

Other than that, looks good.

Before Thanks
