Don't get TOO intoxicated by the beauty... I went for a 15 min. jaunt down a trail after breakfast and kept going and going looking for the perfect shots... No water, no food ! Found myself gone for 4 hours and had to dig a hole next to a cliffside to trap water to drink. Finished trail and had to backtrack 4 miles on Highway back to lodge carrying tripod. Lesson being that we can be SO INVOLVED taking hikes and climbing around looking for that PERFECT shot that we forget a little common sense. Bryce is Gorgeous... Rise early and retire late; get the changing light.

Jack is an F1 Labradoodle and was my best bud for 10 years... Since his Bro's got cameo shots here I think he would like his posted also. He was a Gentle Giant and the best friend and companion anyone could ask for.

I will second the Richard Petty Experience. I did 40 laps at Disney World in 2007. Worth every penny.

Yeah, Me too at Disney World.... Coming off that high turn and cutting down on the straightaway... What a Thrill.

Thanks, Greg. Appreciate the comment. Even my other cameras are old (They match me ).

Yep, but the older I get John, I realize the OLDER bodies with the better lenses do a WONDERFUL job as long as the old geezer behind the lens is worth his salt. I have reached the END pretty much in my GAS pursuits and am finding that The older stuff can hold up VERY well for my purposes. I am SO glad I was a little picky on lenses from the get go.... Paying off now.

REALLY nice... If THIS is what can be done with an iPhone 8 ,WHAT do you think the output of an iPhone 18 could be... I consider my phone as much camera now as well as a cell phone... Amazing how a little change in attitude moves one to use that little device more and more as a visual capture device.

Yup, his opinion(s).....

(I don't even take what he says...)

Yep, just like EVERYTHING else here on the hog, mostly opinion... Personally MY opinion is that Canon has overall the best color science but Fuji color is unique and has its place; it's ALL good. Rockwell is a good read though.

I think as Bill and Red have stated that pocket cameras may be the way to go... WHY load yourself down with tons of gear as internet compression and social media are NOT going to display the FINER points of pixel peeping. Small compacts with good zooms seem to be the answer to an enjoyable vacation. We are ALL looking for those PERFECT vacation pics, but WHEN is good enough GOOD ENOUGH ?

I REALLY love the last shot of The Oldsmobile.... Don't see many of the older late 50's Oldsmobile Iron. BTW, If any of you have the opportunity to do a " Richard Petty " experience... just DO IT ! The REAL THING, just detuned a little.

The more I look at this image Linda I was wondering if you have done anything in the way of extracting " Pics from within a Pic " from this ? I don't know what resolution you are working with but I see MANY interesting constructions.

After following the leading lines Linda, do we take the " Leap Of Faith " off the top platform... ? I love it ! Great contrast and crazy lines...
