This guy was far away but I had a 100-400 with a 1.4 extender on my camera. I had tried manually to focus on him and took a couple of shots. About 5 minutes later he was still there and began to exercise his wings. I turned the camera on him and quickly shot a couple of frames. Back at my laptop, the focus was not the best. I edit processed in Topaz to give it a slight painterly appearance. Came out ok!
Converted a couple of sunflower shots to B&W. The first one is a crop from a shot of a large part of the field. The second, I applied a slight posterization to the background.
Taken in Pendleton, SC yesterday morning.
Taken at a local (SC) sunflower field yesterday.
Right, that’s pretty much what it is but worth a look!
Shot these after a quick shower.
Used the threshold filter in Photoshop along with a color lookup to help generate this version of my image.
Yes, stacked them all in Starstax program. I used one of the earlier images taken the same night but at twilight to use as foreground since it was a bit lighter out.
No, this was taken on the Rt 11 bridge over the north part of the lake.
To bring in more foreground details like the lake, I used an early exposure at twilight when there was at least some light.
Yes, agree...it’s fun. I’ve been doing some untracked deep sky imaging as well.
There are a few planes or satellites passing through during the 100 minutes of exposing.
Taken at Lake Keowee in SC. This is a stack of about 330 images of 20 seconds each - stacked in Starstax program.
