Little Tommy and his family were having Sunday dinner at his Grandmother's house. Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served. When Little Tommy received his plate, he started eating right away. "Tommy! Please wait until we say our prayer." said his mother.







"I don't need to," the boy replied.







"Of course, you do" his mother insisted. "We always say a prayer before eating at our house."







"That's at our house." Tommy explained. "But this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook."

Walking deserted roads in the Everglades after sunset is always interesting. Lots of life comes out to soak up the residual heat on the asphalt. Among the creatures I've encountered are these guys. The Southern Leopard Frog is simply amazing. This guy would put any Olympic athlete to shame. I got down to his level to photograph him. I took a number of head on images. When I finished, I stood up a little too fast and startled him. He jumped from a sitting position and in a single leap jumped OVER me! I hadn't completely stood up yet but even so, that was many times his body length just in height...at least. Two more hops and he was off the road and into the marsh. Amazing! The other character in this set is a Southern Toad. Not nearly the athlete the Leopard Frog is but a cute little guy none-the-less and a very cooperative subject for a little macro practice
