Our beautiful state of Oregon has been plagued by fires every summer for as long as I can remember, but the resulting sunrises and sunsets are incredible. This is a sunrise from my front door.

Serene setting - if you have it, I'd like to see an image of these subjects from more of an angle, rather than essentially straight-on. I think perhaps getting a 45-degree view of the barn with the wagon might add a sense of depth and provide an interesting composition. As always, this is MHO and in no way is designed to denigrate your fine image...
Thank you for your input. Unfortunately what you can't see are the distracting objects that have been eliminated by cropping the image as I have done. The same goes for backing up to include the barn peak. Doing so brings unwanted objects into the final image. The image as you see it, is the result of the constraints of lens and camera I had with me at the time. I originally shot the image as an HDR to bring out hidden details in the wagon. Later I included as much of the barn front as possible to add some "story" to the stand alone wagon image.

This is the front yard of an actual working farm in Jacksonville, Oregon. They host many open house (barn) events for locals and visitors year round.

As many of my UHH friends know, I LOVE to photograph surfers and also the lifestyle that surrounds the beach and the surfers. I've been looking through thousands of my archive photos and have chosen some hand picked ones that I believe you will enjoy. Since I have so many and the UHH admin has a limit of 10 photos per submission I will submit several "chapters" of these photos. These are all from my "Huntington Beach, CA" archives. If you like these, keep coming back and there will be more to check out in the future. I hope you enjoy them!
Of course, all the photos look best in download mode!

Here are the previous twenty chapters:

This should be one of your all time favorites for sure! The photo shows the fatherly love he has for his brand new baby and the emotion that goes with it. The lighting is out of the park awesome! Beautiful photo. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Brent. Check out my new post called "evening glass".

No matter what kind of photographer you are, or how many images you have created, when you review your portfolio, there should be at least one or two photos you are very proud to have taken. For me this image stands out as one of my all time favorites. My wife asked me to take photos of her friend's two day old baby girl. The resulting image still moves me to take more photos. So I do.....

This guy uses a pressure washer to get off the grime and smooth out the wrinkles. I don't recommend this for Fluffy, your house pet.

I drove past this pond on my way to work every day, until I couldn't resist the urge to stop and grab this photo. Does it take you back to younger days and summer time?

I’m curious, is that a Biewer Yorkie or Parti Colored Yorkie? Your photos are wonderful and the dog so well trained. Naturally your cat wanted his picture taken too.

This is Dilly. She is a 2 year old Shih Tzu. Her coat will continue to grow for about 2 more years.

WOW! My wife and I always seek out the lighthouses on our vacation travels. We've seen many from Maine to California, but we've never seen one as gorgeous as that.

Has this ever happened to you? It happened to me. So, your better half says she wants a "glamor " shot of her show dog. No problem, right? You get out the backdrop, set up the strobes, groom the dog, get out a few approximate props, and get ready. After a few shots, the cat, you remember the cat from previous posts, decides to photo bomb your glamor shoot. This is not photoshopped. Download to see details.
