My tripod leg broke yesterday and going out of town tomorrow and need a tripod. Friend of mine has the Flashpoint F-1328 with F-3 ball head. Haven't seen or tried it, but wondering if anyone has, or had this, and is it a decent setup??? I would use it with a D7100 and 70-300mm lens.
Thanks!

I don't see a thing wrong with it. It's nature. I posted one of the same thing and was told it was nasty. Last pic I have posted.

I got published again! Funny thing..I was with my chiropractor when he opened the package with the new Voice of Health magagzine in it. He knew before I did that I got a cover this time! But evidently they don't pay for a cover shot, only the center spread. :( Oh, well.

Congrats Sue!

When I coached my son's U12 coed soccer team we made it down to bluefield one year.. We were the maroon baboons. Lol.

What does it take to capture a bummer like that in flight? AF or pre focus and patience?

I usually end up focusing on the feeder then as he gets a drink and flies back a little, then I snap and hope for the best. I thought I was in your neck of the woods yesterday, but it was Marlinton, WV

Hi Tedge, a little off 81, near Martinsburg..

I grew up in the southern part of the state. We played Martinsburg in a pony league state baseball tournament many years ago. They killed us!

That poor hummingbird, you stole all her dignity!! It could have been a little boy and a tree, classic, innocent, funny and truthfully deserves to be framed.

Lol, no privacy here. If I feed them, I get to take pics. What part of WV are you in?

Don't know why. this was a very civil exchange compared to some. We were having fun with the poop question. Poop or not, it was a great capture of a hummingbird.

Any of us that post pics are proud of them, especially the ones of us that are just getting started. If someone finds it offensive, move on, don't look, don't comment. But I guess when you know everything, you have to let everyone else know just how intelligent you are. I still come here to learn as much as I can.

i imagine a hummingbird does that quite often since it drinks so much sugar water. good catch!

Exactly so. Hummingbird diet consists of 95% nectar, which is mostly water. Hummers eject excess liquid just about every time they take flight.
