If you go to todays listing at the end of this edition you will see several lenses for sale. This is a good way to check out different lenses for little money.
I did the same thing for my sons wedding with the same camera and lens. No problem with equipment with the kit that he has. There are many books out there that he should reference for suggestions and help. Biggest thing to remember is stay out of view as much as possible and take loooooots of pictures. You can always filter afterward.
Some people just cannot afford professionals! He should ask any photo friends for help/advise and maybe get one to take pictures along with him on their own. I had a friend take a lot of background picts with excellent results. Keep it simple and it will work.

Most of the pictures that I print are 5x7 and the quality is quite good. I have a HP laser color that is no better and sure costs a lot to use. Send me an address and I will mail a sample. I do not work for Epson by the way.
I have a Epson EY-4550 which uses the bottles of ink as opposed to the cartridges and it does a great job for me. A refill is a fraction of the cost and you get about a 1/2 pint of ink for less than $15 on line. I used to spend at least a $150 per month now less than $10.

Great photos and I know the water well from personnel experience. One of the best places in the NW to fly fish.
