Speaking of the Taiwan Strait. If we have really bought into the One China, why do we keep sending our warships into the Taiwan Strait, ticking off the mainland Chinese? As recently as, like, yesterday.

I don't know why we're trying to provoke a war with China, other than we have insane psychopaths running our country who cannot except the fact that the world is changing and it's no longer a unipolar world with the US on top. Going to war with a country that is halfway around the world, has a population 4x larger than the US, a larger modern industrial manufacturing base than the US, a larger modern military than the US, and a growing economy that can pay for the cost of a war, doesn't make a lot of sense and probably would not end well for the US or our proxies in the region if we do go to war.

Abbott in 28!!

He'll secure the border and keep China out of Taiwan, if it hasn't already been handed over.

How do you keep China out of it's own country?

The U.S. and Taiwan enjoy a robust unofficial relationship. The 1979 U.S.-P.R.C. Joint Communique switched diplomatic recognition from Taipei to Beijing. In the Joint Communique, the U.S. recognized the Government of the People’s Republic of China as the sole legal government of China, acknowledging the Chinese position that there is but one China and Taiwan is part of China. The Joint Communique also stated that the people of the U.S. will maintain cultural, commercial, and other unofficial relations with the people of Taiwan. The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) is responsible for implementing U.S. policy toward Taiwan.

I reek envy. A most excellent set of photos. Would it be rude to inquire what equipment facilitated your glorious gallery accomplishment?

David

Hi, David. I used a Nikon Z9 with a 100-400mm lens.

Very nice set of images!! I have seen many images from Santee Lakes. Is it easy to get to? How big is it? I get to San Diego on occasion but my mobility is not great. Is it hard to get around? Thanks and keep up the good photography

Hi, sparky. The Lakes are easy to get to and if you can get around on level ground you wont have any problems getting around the lakes.

Here's a link to their website.

the view was very obstructed and not good of Photography.

After reading your first sentence I have to ask, what was your car doing in the hospital?
