I have tried the still life before. I am using a light tent with high output flourescent bulbs pointed away from the subject. How can this be improved?

I adjusted the exposure on this, added a little contrast and sharpened slightly. Hope you like it.

thanks Kathy, originally I was trying for a little bit underexposed, I did try to brighten in PP, but was not pleased with the results. I use Microsoft Digital Image Pro9. I like your edit, thanks.

I edited it in ACDSeePro it is a great program and very inexpensive out of Canada. You don't have to buy the Pro version and you can do everything I did in the regular version.

....this purple gladiola taken with my little Kodak EasyShare C143 set on auto. I love this shot so much it's part of my screensaver slide show and I've printed it out and framed it on my burgeoning photo wall at home. :D

I played around with the lighting, contrast and sharpened it. Hope you like it.

This is Little Bit, she follows me all around when I am taking a walk shooting . We go back into the woods and she is always by my side. And Sammy my Newfy too. A lot of pictures of both. ha.

Love your cat. Nice capture but one suggestion, try not to place the subject in the middle, use the rule of thirds for placement. Good luck.

Post your Xmas cards to please!

Love your photo but would like to make a recommendation. As a professional typesetter when you use this typeface and other scripts like Old English never use all caps as they are very difficult to read in all caps. Use upper and lower case. Hope this helps for the future, but I love your card.

Awesome card, thre is nothing like a personalized photo card for the holidays.

Here is the photo I used for my Christmas cards. This is my cat that I adopted from a shelter. She's beautiful and has a wonderful personality.

I do alot of weddings. First work along with the DJs catterers and florist if some one calls me to do a wedding I can refer them to the all of their services I even have a few ministers to call on also. Even tho the DJ was showing picture during the reception that should not effect your job. You are in charge of the posed pictures after the ceromony dont' allow any one there to take pictures except yourself. And their pictures should not even compare to yours. I can't even count how many DJs, florist, and ministers have sent weddings to me. To be a decent wedding photographer you have to a politician as well and have the personality that makes people want to work with you. the main point is as the photographer no one else there photos should even come close to yours. There should be a difference between a Photo and a snapshot. Here is a example do you think I would allow anyone to stand over my shoulder to and get this shot these are the shots you have to claim and own.

For the past two years, my cat Luna has tormented my dog Shasta on our x-mas cards. The first pic is last year's card.

This year Shasta gets even.

Here is my card I took of my newly adopted shelter cat. She's a wonderful cat with the best personality and is 4 years old. She was so cooperative while taking the photo. I've taken so many shots of her she will be charging me modeling fees petty soon. Maybe I can make her a Top Model Cat.

I have been wanting to send some pics todifferent stock companies but am having trouble figuring how to send them
Sounds dumb and probably very simple but Need some help here .

Thanks,
Dhammer

Have you signed up with a stock agency yet? If not sign up and they will have information on how to upload on their site once you sign up. You will have to submit so many photos for them to decide if they are acceptable or not for their site. Good luck.

Thank you for the suggestion. I see vendors at events in our community events and often wonder how they do. May I ask what your subject matter is; composed still life, nature, or variation?
Thanks again!

I went "out of the box" and started at a farmers market. I have a rooster photo that was very popular and chickens and old barns. The flea market I set up with a variety of photos. I was and still am the only "allegded" photographer at the flea maket. There are over 300 vendors.

I have been told by many photographers to stay away from flea markets because people who go to them want everything for nothing and it is a waste of time. What do you charge for an 8x10 and what size do you sell the most? Do you sell mostly matted prints or framed? How much do you usually make as an average?

I was out walking this morning, and came upon this handsome fellow. All I had was my point & shoot, but it worked just fine. This time of the year the deer and elk come down out of the snow covered mountains and winter in our area. Last year I had a doe and her triplets stay all winter in my front yard.

Great shot. I wish I had your luck in seeing one in my yard. They only come through at night and trip off my driveway guard.
