At work, a new leader decided everyone should buy the same laser jet to avoid the multiple cartridge issue. Labs were always giving away cartridges as new printers were bought. I'm not sure the plan lasted a year as the model chosen went out of production. Real money is in the cartridges and ink, why Dell started its own printers. They would probably give printers away if they could quarantee you had to buy ink from them only.

Thanks for your reply, someone has purchased my old cartridges.

Yes! Different cartridges for every model printer! At one time, I decided to use the Canon iP4500 for each computer so I would have to buy one type of cartridge.

Overall, it's a PITA when it comes to printers. They work great for awhile then they get a mind of their own.

All are very good, but the Coyote is terrific. Love that one, Photolady.

My Epson XP-820 printer died and, of course, they no longer sell that model and I had to get a different one with different ink cartridges.
I hate when they do that. I bought replacement inks last month from Epson and now I can't use them. I have a 4-pack with Photo Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow cartridges and an XL Black cartridge. They are: 273 and 273XL.
If anyone would like to make an offer, please Private Msg me and we can make arrangements. OEM Ink Cartridges. I think they were around $65 to $70 we can make a deal and save yourself a bunch.

I recently had to replace my Epson XP-820 printer and I have some spare ink cartridges I'd like to sell. Bought them about 2 months ago from Epson.
The cartridges are : Epson 273 with Photo Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. Also a new double size black cartridge # 273XL which prints twice as many in Black. Both are still in original box.

Please make offer and Private Msg me.
Thanks

When I got a new camera back in 2019, the first day out I photographed a Red Fox at Woodlawn Cemetery. Well, I just moved up to a new camera a few weeks ago and I got another Red Fox to pose for me. I've see quite a few in between, but I've only been this close twice. Both times it was about 30 away.

Well they are certainly excellent shots with very good color. Years ago, in Bel Air, MD, there used to be a Red Fox lying under my front window just about every morning waiting for the sun to rise. After the sun was up a while, he'd wander off and go do whatever.
There used to be a restaurant in the town of Bel Air called The Red Fox Inn. Harford County was real popular with Red Foxes. Still is to some degree,

Please try the downloads.

Great shots, Sylvia. When I saw your subject, Spring is on the way, I thought "what?" how can that be. Then I realized it's the UK.
Okay! It's great seeing some current spring flowers. Excellent job, Sylvia.
I still have snow on the ground from 3 weeks ago, 2 weeks ago and last week. Very tired of it.

First off, let me state that I was a Television Broadcast engineer for 20 years starting back in the late 70's. I've been out of it for quite awhile, but man how things have changed. Anyway, back then a LONG commercial break was 2 minutes and there was generally at start-break, a mid-break, and an end-break (which was shared with the start break for the following program). A special note here, in that most of these were network breaks and our station only made direct income on the local breaks we ran and still turned a reasonable profit. We actually had to pay the network to carry their programming including all their breaks and ads!

Anyway, to get to the point, today's breaks are far more frequent and much, much longer. So much so that I think it's getting absurd! Last night, my wife and I watched an approx. 2 hour movie that took 3-1/2 hours to air and I counted and average of 8 commercials, two promos, and/or PSA's in each break. Some had even more (especially promos), but not one break was less than 5 minutes and a couple were a full 8 minutes long! I wish I had also counted the actual number of breaks, but I was having trouble keeping up with the movie already. Top that off by the fact that most of us pay to have this programming brought into our homes with cable, satellite, and/or streaming fees and subscriptions and I simply have to wonder how many jillions of dollars these channels are making on all these ads and double dipping on their subscriptions and/or fees as well.

While I realize that money is the driving factor here and we will never get around the corporate greed for more and more income, I think it's high time we began to rebel against this situation or at least put the powers that be on notice that we are fed up with this situation. I'm not sure what we can effectively do about this, but I'm certainly open to your suggestions and I will be writing my cable company and local stations about this, as well as posting this topic in multiple venues to see if there is any real response from the public in general. I am also considering going back to "Off Air" TV only. While they still run too many ads, at least they don't double dip by also charging me for their overall programming. Anyway, I'd love to start a reasonable discussion on this subject and would appreciate your input. I'd really like to start some grass roots support and give them as much negative feedback as possible. Thanks for reading this far and please "Enjoy the Season and Celebrate the Reason!"
First off, let me state that I was a Television Br... (show quote)

I've noticed the preponderance of commercials also. They seem much longer and more of them than ever. What really irks me is when they show the same commercial 2 or 3 times in the same set. WHY? Also, I hate when they show a commercial for the same show I'm currently watching. Makes no sense.

Sounds like you had a lovely day, Tom, even without the hugs, and what a relief...no covid!! Our Christmas was cozy but quiet, and as usual, we ate too much. 😩 Thanks so much, Tom, and please continue to stay well!!

Love those left overs!
Stay healthy too, Donna. It's out there and ready to pounce on us. (and I don't mean cats).

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and decorations with us, Tom, and I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas! Everything is so warm and inviting!!

Thank you, Donna. I just wish it was warm and inviting outside.
LOL
The weather here has been very cold and windy (30's) and we even had flurries on Christmas day. Spent the day with my son and his family and had a delicious home made spaghetti, meatball and sausage dinner with home made dinner rolls. They're both really good cooks and bakers. With a nice fire in the fireplace we were all set for a cozy evening. The 2 grands really enjoyed opening their gifts. It was all fun and relaxing. Couldn't hug anybody though. It's a shame.
I hope you had a fine Christmas also.
Got tested for Covid last week. Turned out negative. Whew!
