If you have billions of dollars, you just buy your critics out, and close up the business. It's just simple math, and the American way. Trump should know this!. :)

Oh, if they refuse to sell - Capone had a fix for that, Just burn them out of business.

Well?, I think it might be a 50/50 split.

The road I used to live on in Asheville, has 30 bars on it. It's 2.1 miles long. :) I live in Canton NC now, it only has 70% drug addicts. They stay too high to drink, they might drown themselves if they tried.

I like you first paragraph, steve40. It has ring to it, i,e,Evidence is the seeing of things that are crumbling away, Faith consists in believing that which is yet to be seen.
But that second paragraph needs some work. It comes across as if you know something many of the rest of us do not know. Is it prophecy, or have you been that route, only to return with words of wisdom for us? It sounds threatening. Are you out threatening others and attempting to get them to feel "guilty" for your God?
b I like you first paragraph, steve40. It has ri... (show quote)

nope!, not at all.

Evidence and Faith, are as far apart as night and day. Evidence is the seeing of things that are crumbling away, Faith consists in believing that which is yet to be seen.

For those who believe God is a myth, how are you going to feel when you find yourself guilty standing before the nonexistent God, that is. You will you know?.

God gave humans free will, thom.

Yes he did, and look at the choice Adam made with his free will. ItÂ’s the same choice you, or I would have made given the same circumstances.

Had not God from eternity past chosen to save some, all would be lost. That is not something to be puffed up, or brag about, but something to be thankful for. :)

Got lots of things to do right now, catch you later.

You mean Catholic Priest taking a vow of poverty... The only place in the Bible that I can see Priest taking a vow of poverty is in the Old Testament were the priestly tribe of Levi does not receive an inheritance. They lived off the offering that was brought to God. Could this be it... I do not know.

I do not see it in Acts 4:32-

Dirtpusher was talking about the Evangelist, were supposed to take a vow of poverty. I know about the tribe of Levi. Like I said the only thing in the NT, coming close, is the selling of property and goods by the early church. That was the reference Act 4:32-35. I checked the New American Bible in that area, and did not find anything particularly unusual there. Or related to a vow of poverty. That was just a guess as to where it might be in the Douay.

I use the New American Standard Version and there is nothing Catholic about this Bible that I can see. Why do you believe the NAS is a Catholic Bible?

Not the New American Standard, The "New American Bible".
Believe me, it came straight out of the Catholic section of Christian Book Distributors. Like I said it is very NIV like, except for the notes. Which are decidedly very Catholic. :)

Probably somewhere around Acts 4:32-5. Where the people were selling their possessions, and dividing the money with the poor. It is also probably a note, as it is in the Catholic cannon laws for Priests and such.

ever hear of Knox Bible or Douay-Rheims :?: :?: :?: :?:

Ok, neither of those do I have. The only Catholic Bible I have, is the New American Bible. Its geared more toward the Laity, so it is simplified a bit more than the Douay. It reminds me a lot of the NIV.

I've got several other versions, even a 1599 Geneva. I haven't read them as much as the KJV, but still don't recall seeing that particular verse. Its not in the notes is it ?.

My KJV is a Cambridge Concord, I don't recall ever reading it exactly that way. Which Book, chapter, and Verse are you referring.

Nobody is perfect you know. :)
