Fantastic captures.
Did you use a tripod?
Marion

No, just hand-held, no flash or tripod.

I shoot a lot of pictures in museums. I have a Canon T3I which I use happily for many, many tasks. But despite all of the best advice, whiteness balance, aperture, speed adjustments, my iPhone is truer to color than my T3I. But, of course, the lens on the iPhone is virtually pinhole camera age. Is there any digital pocket camera which will shoot as well under museum conditions and give me an optical telephoto lens worth having?

I use my Canon PowerShot G16 camera when I visit museums. It seems to do quite well with the low available light, and by shooting in RAW mode, I can more easily correct for any white balance issues that might crop up. Here are some shots I took at the Museum of Arts and Science (MOAS) in Daytona Beach:

Even when it rains is a great place to see.

Very nice series!

I've been seeing a commercial about the five national parks in Utah. That, along with your photos, makes me want to fly out there!

... I set my camera and tripod up just inside the open patio doors at my daughters house. I then focused the camera at the highest point on the log, attached my remote release and relaxed on the settee near the window and waited for the birds to come...

Snip!

And what a relaxing way to get to photograph birds!

Great series Jim!
