Thank you so much. I had several pics that I didn't have time to post last week. I wish I could comment on every wonderful posting, but I'm a full time care giver for my wife and do every inside and out. Some days I don't feel I have time to breath. I gladly do this for my wife and best friend for over 60 years.

I have a few pics that I didn't get around to posting last week.

This is my daughters favorite wedding picture.

I grew up in a green house. This is my mom and my nephew just before Memorial Day. I know a few things about, but not much of a "green thumb".

My grandparents home near Coeur d'Alene's city beach.

The inaugural flight of empire airlines in 1938. They are still flying and doing well.

The Mill.

Well used Bridgeport Mill. Very nice exposure. They are the best!! I wish I had one in my garage. The company where I worked was moving to Mexico, and I had no intentions of moving with the company. The VP said if I wanted 2 fully digitized Bridgeport's, just take the ones you want; Free. Unfortunately they were shipped the day before.

Oh Gary!!! Breathtaking - such beautiful scenes and wonderful stories. My father collected stamps and I had penpals around the world. I too love the Norwegian wedding picture

Thank you very much, Pat. When I first looked at this weeks topics, I didn't think I had anything to contribute. It turned out I had gobs of stiff. I'm glad I selected the wedding picture.

Thank you so much. I really like the wedding picture taken in Norway. It's amazing that it survived from 1888.

Thank you very much. I'm just a recovering junk collector. Some of the pics I posted were also related to my family tree. I've documented over 2000 pages going back over 2000 years. Each page covers 3 generations. I'm at about the halfway point.

I found a few Vintage pics that I have a connection too.

When I was young I was a collector of things including stamps and interesting documents. If look to the far left postcard, at far end of beach there are some white buildings. It's an amusement park. I worked where I got my real job at 14. I

When my wife and I were married 57 years and 3 days ago, we rented a little house from the captain Flyer.

The Cataldo Mission is the oldest building. Its located about 20 miles East of Coeur d'Alene just off I-90.

My wife's grandparents were married in Norway.

This is me out elk hunting when I was in my mid 20's. The favorite gun hasn't been fired in about 50 years. Its standing in the corner about 4 feet from me.

This is my aunts, who I never knew, moccasins made for her by local Indians when she was young. She died of the Spanish Fly in 1919.

I put this together for my daughter. For some reason she doesn't like her picture. She thinks it's inappropriate.

Dang, now I have to throw the small world flag, Gary. My first assignment in the Coast Guard after the Academy was on the Northwind. That's me, front row all the way to the left.

WOW!! It is a small world. My friend and hunting buddy was assigned to the Northwind around 1968. The Northwind must have been famous. For some reason I knew about the Northwind and the Southwind much earlier.

Apologize for coming late to the party. I love the pics folks! Here's a series about an icebreaker.

Wonderful exposures. A good friend of mine went into the Coast Gard many years ago and was assigned to the ice breaker North Wind. He had a wonderful time.
Great pics.

Spectacular shot that makes me want to be there πŸ’“πŸ€πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ’“

If your go to Chicago, turn West on I-90 and step hard on the gas. When you get to Idaho, turn North at Kingston. It's a beautiful ride up the North fork of the Coeur d'Alene River.

Thank you for your kind comment. I can't help my self. When I went to digital photography, I felt compelled to carve out the best posable image. I normally format every pic to 8x10 so I can I submit them for local competition and/or UHH. It's just plane fun.
Thanks again.

That rock crusher is at a fair - I assume it is a restoration, not recently manufactured

The rock crusher in my pic is located in the weeds across next to my favorite little restraint/bar/free museum, across the street from the post office. Population about 60, deep in the national forest about 40 north of I-90.
