Thanks duck72. You are so right. I just got off the phone with Apple again, and their response was that perhaps it was the 2015 version of PSE that is not "playing nice" with Mojave. With more investigation into PSE-15 and Mojave I learned that it works fine in the organizer, but cuts off the Editor bottom and whole right side. So, yes, it is an Adobe issue. Now I'm debating on whether or not to keep this 27" iMac. Meantime, I was on hold with Adobe for over 45 minutes yesterday regarding this problem. I'm very grateful for your input and may just go ahead and get the 2019 version of PSE and "get on with it".
Thanks duck72. You are so right. I just got off ... (show quote)

You're welcome. I hope everything works out smoothly for you. I switched to Apple from Windows-based systems some years ago, and haven't looked back. (although I do still have a PC running Win10- I like to keep track of both worlds) I suggest you try to stick with Apple- things are just so much simpler. Good luck!

Thank You duck72

You are more than welcome. Glad I could focus on your specific need and share. I (primarily) choose to use a D7200, so we are "camera-mates" in a way. If you're relatively new to this photography/digital realm, I highly recommend Steve Perry's guides for *Nikon* focusing and exposure systems. They will shorten your "learning curve," and give you knowledge about your D7500 that would take you quite some time to gain on your own. (I started capturing images in the 1960s with a Nikon F 35mm); his guides have helped bring me further/smarter into our digital-photography age. As far as the computer hardware and post-processing software "stuff" - you'll have to feel your way along like the rest of us. I've worked with computers since before the PC and MAC were invented. Others will be very glad to share their opinions… Shoot well, Shoot often, and don't let anybody's smart-ass comments or flaming keep you from using this user forum as a resource. There is a lot of knowledge here. PEACE

Never did - never will.

Likewise. Camera off = yes, of course- per Owner's Manual. Worrying about switch on the lens = no. Never any problem.

Oops thought that was listed it is macOS Mojave version 10.14.3, msg that camera model (D7500) is not supported by the installed version of camera raw 😔

No "oops" necessary. Your topic title *does* list the Operating System- that answers LFingar's first question; I advise also putting that information into the body of your post. What you omitted was a description of something beyond a generic "problem," which you then provided (i.e., camera/problem- and got an accurate answer). I see you are a relatively new member- please, please don't let a few posts and member responses that might make you think, "whaa- why did you click on this?" discourage you from further posts/interaction. There are some really good people/resources here who want to help others further their pursuit of taking good photographs and producing things that others enjoy seeing. Some members even post responses before reading previous responses... "Newer" cameras such as your D7500 are as often as not not supported by older software. My specific recommendation to you is to buy the newest version of PSE, rather than going through the machinations of converting to other file formats etc. It will cost you $69 on sale. Or, you can spend $30 a month for an Adobe subscription. Keep shooting, keep posting, best of luck capturing and sharing wonderful images.

Hi, I just went through a major issue with my computer and PSE15. It seems my late 2012 Mac Book Pro does not play nice with PSE 15 and Mojave. Long story short; after checking the drive, the cable to the motherboard and anything else Apple could do, they erased everything and sent the computer back to High Sierra. I was able to download all my pics, thankfully, from the Cloud. I hope this isn't what you're going through, but maybe my story will be helpful. Best of luck.

taj334: I have the same vintage (late 2012) MBP and thought I'd drop a note to let you (and others) know I recently installed PSE 2019 on it- (operating under Mojave, current), and I am experiencing no problems. There might well indeed be Mojave incompatibilities with PSE 15- I don't know, but I just wanted to let you know you needn't be scared-off of *newer* version of PSE (2019) AND running Mojave on your year/model MBP. It would be a shame to have PSE15 dictate/relegate you to High Sierra. (I'm also going to propose that your Apple "technician" took an easy road, and that your problem could have been solved without pushing you back to High Sierra- but then you get into the "well call adobe" syndrome- good luck with that one :>)
Our MBPs are the very oldest that can run Mojave; I have had no problems whatsoever. Happy shooting.

I "second" olemikey's suggestion of a Vello Wireless Shutterboss
unit. It is relatively inexpensive, and I cannot imagine it will not work with your D500. Works fine with my D7200. The receiver unit occupies your flash shoe, or any cold shoe or 1/4"-20 stud, and plugs into your camera's shutter-release jack. Just make sure you get the Nikon-specific model compatible with whatever shutter-release receptacle the D500 has.

The little Vello radio control units work well, don't cost much. Check B&H or your favorite vendor.

Have you thought about/explored creating a "Facebook Users' Group"? As I understand them, you can control who belongs, and members can post comments, photos, etc. At least that's been my experience. I know nothing about the administration of such a group, but it's worth looking into. Yes, participants must have a Facebook account. Hope you find a workable solution. Love lacrosse. (and please, UHHers, refrain from making non-constructive comments about Facebook.)

That seems odd in terms of my experience with Canon and android which has been explained away as owing to all the different android devices and versions while iOS has only Apple to contend with unlike all the different android manufacturers. The world may be getting to be too complicated for us old geezers. I cannot imagine what it would be like for a young person just dropping into this whole confusing mess. How will they ever cope with the confusion. One step at a time, I guess, eh.

MtShooter speaks big truth regarding Apple compatibility. (And he should know) Android operating system(s) are developed and changed/tweaked according to certain standards which enable them to operate across a broad spectrum of platforms. iOS On the other hand only has to be compatible with Apple devices, and even then, Apple "obsoletes" those devices after a period of time (aargh!). They don't give a hoot (aka a rat's behind) whether something they change will be compatible with Nikon products, and Nikon's software- poorly written to begin with- hasn't a prayer of keeping up. I have had nothing but trouble with connectivity with my iPhones/iPads as the operating system (and hardware models) is updated periodically. I like the one user's comment about buying a cheapo Android phone to get the connectivity and functionality that Apple is sorely lacking.
As far as the younger generation starting out today, this stuff is second nature to them and most of them can do "it" with their eyes closed; it's us "old geezers" that get cornfused, don't know what buttons to push, and get taken in by glowingly self-written marketing hype re:capabilities and features of devices that will "solve all the problems."
(MtShooter- if you read this, *thank you* for your constructive input. As usual.)
