I know what you mean. I was fortunate to catch the hawk when I did.
Thank you. I thought that might be a Red Tail hawk but wasn't sure.
Took this with my new Tamron 150-600. Didn't care for the branch at first but it's growing on me. Not sure what kind of hawk.
Bought a new Tamron 150-600mm this weekend. Took it to Moss Landing near Monterey, CA. Found an otter eating and tried out the lens. A little on the heavy side for hand holding but I like the sharpness of the photos.
Captured these at the Cosumnes River Preserve. Flew about 30 feet overhead.
Thank you all for your kind comments.
Thousands of birds of all types. Could have spent the whole day out there. The preserve is outside of Elk Grove, CA.
Attended the airshow in Sacramento this weekend. I've seen the Thunderbirds many times and never get tired of them.
Yes, it was shot there. Nowadays the birds have been reduced to begging for food from the tourists. I guess that's easier than going after people.
Went to Bodega Bay this weekend. Fog was pretty heavy but got some pictures out of the trip.
Thank you. They were feeding on a small school of fish so that makes sense.
