Just a small note. I have been using a Nikon Coolscan IV for many years. It is for 35mm film. I know that model can be hard to find. However, worth the effort. Great results.
El Matador is a great beach with multiple photo choices. When the fires are burning, it can be a bit dicey. However, there is not much that says FALL. That said, my recommendation is to pack a bag and drive up Highway 395 to the town of Bishop and beyond. The span of excellent fall color will make you think you have somehow driven to Vermont!
Canon 5D Markiv. As a long time Canon user and Sony shooter, this body now is the #1 in my bag. I really like the results I get and how it feels in my hand.
I agree with pahtspix. I have found the Topaz to be really helpful and Denoise AI does an excellent job at reducing/eliminating noise.
The McKinley shot is excellent and the Denali image is a show stopper. Very nice shooting.
Linda .. I received the same advice and over the years has found that approach genuinely helpful.
I am a big fan of the Tiffen filter and have used it for years. Often no additional work is needed in Photoshop or elsewhere.
I grew up just a stone's throw from that old barn. I am glad to see that it still is standing. Thanks for the post.
RCarol ..... 5 minutes is not too long if the end result is what you want. The goal is a good print and not the sound of a clock ticking.
Very nice shot of the two falls. Yosemite is awesome but too many people. I have backpacked and hiked the park for some 30+ years and photographed most of it in all seasons but I do think it needs better crowd management. That said I still will be going back again. Conditions are very good this spring.
Avoid Costco. Their metal prints are disappointing-truly a case pf getting what you pay for.
ArtBeat Studios in Irvine (Orange County) California is outstanding. The prices are reasonable and the work is very professional. Just remember that metal printing is definitely more expensive than fine art paper but you do get what you pay for. I have worked with them for several years and never been disappointed.
Very nice images -- especially for a cell phone.
Count me in the "Go As Often As Possible" category. My favorite -- referred by many - is Kauai. Take a helicopter tour with the doors off at least twice. The view will stay with you forever but don't get so carried away that you leave your camera behind.
I usually shoot those images with my Canon 17-40mm and have a very good results -- and that means those images sell.
