I don't have moon shots like other people's moon shots, but I do have this. Taken at ISO 12,800 when I was playing with my new camera four years ago. Changed to sepia tone, and an attempt was made at noise reduction.

Wow, HT! I love the moodiness of this shot! Good job!   8-)

Every once in a while I enjoy finding other photographers in action. Here the photographer in Laguna Beach is shooting what I thought might be a wedding announcement photo. The waves, his lighting and nice camera all added to the total character of the photos.

Fantastic set, Brent! Love the lighting!

Folks, was driving through the little city of Tullahoma when I came across these two engines. They appear to parked and were not running. Anyway, it was a good opportunity for a nice shot. This is along the line that goes from Nashville to Chattanooga.

Sony HX300, shot in 16:9 widescreen, processed with PSE10.

Great composition, James!

HT,
I feel as if I'm there now, looking at the art. "Excuse me, sir."(spoken to man in picture) :-D

Hall of International Flags in the Oregon State University Memorial Union Building. No post processing was done except to correct lens distortion and lighten shadows slightly.

HT,

This image has wonderful leading lines that create a sense of dimension. Great picture!

Following Linda from Maine's example, I just tried using Picasa for the first time. It acted pretty squirrelly on my old computer and didn't seem to want to cooperate with me, but I inserted one of my images into the slot and this is what came out. Not sure I like it..... it looks fuzzy, but it has a certain abstract appeal.

HT,

I love this image because it makes me think of earlier days (days of my youth). Lovely image!   8-)

Old keys with an old suitcase for a backdrop on some and on others it's a table.

Wow, Brent.
This reminds me of when I was very young visiting with my aunt in Mississippi. She lived in an old shotgun house that used Skeleton Keys for every room in the house. And she knew just where all the keys were too. I can still smell the talcum powder she wore. Great memories from my childhood.

Last week I posted a photo of a snowman that I made for 2 of my grandsons. It was about 50f outside and I did not really expect it to last more than a day or two.

Here it is exactly one week later and he is still standing - kind of. The temps the whole time were above freezing but we have had strong winds the whole time creating a significant wind chill.

Today I let the boys out for a bit and they decided to speed things up some.

Tom,

Fun images! Makes me wish I weren't so old then I could make snow angles. LOL!   8-)

Actually, I took away some of the dark head color, probably shouldn't have :)

Canon SX50, burst mode with optical zoom only. Heavily cropped, though the tail was never in pic (behind branches).

Using PSE 12, I cloned out branches, added clouds, lightened the eye and head, did some other tweaks. Please let me know what I could have done better.

So sorry I've forgotten who gave me the info on how to determine the age of immature bald eagle. Here is a link to the pdf. It's a very complex ID system!

I didn't see the BEFORE picture so I'm oblivious to what you feel might not be perfect about this image you posted. I think it's WONDERFUL, Linda! Kudos!

Hi Folks, well what a delightful surprise this was. My wife and I were out one evening back during the Christmas holidays looking for a nice holiday musical. Yea, we where going to crash the place (uninvited). We stopped by a little church called River of Life. Saw the sign out front proclaiming they were having a Christmas show that night. Well we went in and found some seats near the back of the auditorium. Once the music started...my wife nudged me with her elbow saying "you know who that is?". Me, being the dummie that I am...didn't have a clue who she was talking about or for the fact...which person. Turns out...her keen eye and great knowledge of music and musicians, she had spotted someone very well known to the Nashville musical scene. On stage at this little church was one of Nashville best known session musicians. Folks, this is Jimmy Capp. He's played on just about every country song recorded during Nashville's Hey Day. If you want to know more about Jimmy...here's his website:

Enjoy friends...
