Actually that was to be a PM but it was posted. The photo is a 4 shot stitch, no real post processing, just some corrections on slight mis-alignments
I just wanted to share a similar image w/ rising partially eclipsed moon and setting sun moon is far left above the mountain shadow
Aloha Rob
I flew basic economy and carried my gym bag on, it was allowed because it fit under the seat. Why can women come on a plane w/ a ‘bag’ and man can’t?? I’d call United and get an explanation, I think you can carry ‘personal items’ within reason. When we moved here we had 2 kids,Dodd’s and a cat and 12 bags but that was 34 years ago I don’t think I paid extra except for the pets
I was flying 'cattle class' use to fly 1st class when the company paid for it

Just did a similar trip OGG to SNA also no carry on's they mean suitcase sized bags I used a 'gym bag' w/my gear, no hassle. My son had a carry on and had to check it on. Flew United to see the eclipse in 2017 3 bags. allowed only 2, #3 was also overweight but a local fellow was akamai and got #3 on for $20 supposed to be $350 So kep your gear w/ you in a small backpack check on clothes, etc

I did commercial photography for 50+ years, we always had to watch for reflected colors on bright surfaces most times it would add an extra layer to the image, sometimes it just looked off

Combination of shadow and reflection of his dark clothing off his wet skin
Surfs Up !!
The simple set up would be a release cable, 2" eyepiece adapter w/ a Nikon T-ring. Start with a partially illuminated moon, bright and easy to see. Use the screen magnification function to enlarge a crater as a focus target. Use ISO 800 and 1/500 sec to start and adjust as necessary. The digital camera is a great teaching aid w/ instant feedback. Good Luck!!
You have an excellent service in New Smyrna Camera Repair Co do a lens every other month, the lens gets taken apart, cleaned and reassembled I've do lenses from 7.5mm to 500mm w/ them and they are good!!
The camera does great images, a bit large and heavy but did a neg that was better than a Hasselblad because you didn't have to crop Loved the Hassy too Next to sell will be my Sinar P 4x5 8x10 w an extra F camera and an Alpina 'Fisheye' cam and lots of accessories I haven't had a call for film in 5 years so time to let things go

Here are some photos the camera w/ brass was the most used body they both were used in the studio and field for about 20-25 years.
The 2 105 normal lenses show fungus growth, the 45 wide is showing some too, the 135 macro is clean but all the lenses for best use should be cleaned. The brassed camera has a screw lock, used to prevent the shutter from being moved while being used, tape is over the FP flash socket, kept asst from plugging into the wrong flash socket I haven't used these cameras since digital came on strong
