...are now visiting my garden on a daily basis and are very willing to pose for me!!

All taken with my SX50.

Monarch update.... 3 males, 1 female
5 chrysalis waiting their turn
10+ cats munching away
...and 3 eggs I found on the morning breakfast leaves that are now off the menu!!

Excellent captures Angela and I can see your work is going to take off pretty soon with the Monarch ones. Butterflies make beautiful subjects to photograph....Rich

These elk were in a fenced field near the road. This curious guy came right up to my lens to have a sniff.

Prothonotary warbler - juvenile (Protonotaria citrea)
W. Kentucky, USA - 7/11/2018
1/250 sec - f/8.0 - ISO 800

As a mature adult, the bill will turn black, and the white on the breast will turn bright yellow.
Also, the wings will show more blue-gray color than the current black.

Interesting Tidbit: This golden ray of light is unique among warblers with its beady black eye
and blue-gray wings. It is also one of two warblers that build their nests in holes in standing
dead trees. Often called a "swamp warbler" in the southeast, it also occurs surprisingly far to
the north along rivers. ~Cornell Lab-All About Birds~

Pretty Face wallabies are roo's smaller cousins. They are very timid & these were shot from a long distance with a lot of zoom. Downloading is recommended.

CoolPix P900.

Here is a variety from one of my walks through the garden and woodlands. There have not been as many Fritillaries to the garden so far but it is early and they have been laying eggs. There are far too many Japanese beetles eating my hibiscus and I just have to let them as I have no way to get rid of them up so high! I cheated on the Red Spotted Purple butterfly. It was lying dead on the driveway but in such good condition with both it's antenna that I had to share it.

Very nicely done....Rich

These two shots are very similar, but the second one is slightly softer & the colors are a little more pastel like (or is it just my imagination?). Downloading is recommended.

I agree and I like them both....Rich

There is nothing better than sitting on my deck watching hummingbirds fight over sugar water. To capture their beauty is even a bigger bonus. These were captured on my Canon Rebel T6s using the 100-400 L II IS lens using a wired remote and back button focus. Hoping to upgrade to a full frame some day.

Hahahahaaa..... the attack of the killer weeds!!! I'm sure it's not that bad!!

I'll put it this way. When I put weed killer on them they think it's food and grow stronger....Rich

LOL... Rich, it's all in the way you look at things.... even weeds can look beautiful!!
Glad you enjoyed!

Maybe so but not my weeds. They will grab your camera and contaminate it so all your photos would look like moss....Rich
