I plan to travel there in April. Can anyone suggest a source of shooting locations and time of day ?
Thanks

I just came back from Arizona a couple of weeks ago. My daughter and I left Scottsdale on Route 17N and when we reached Route 260N, we took it to Cottonwood. We spent the night at COttonwood. The nezt mronign we left Cottonwood and took Route 89A north to Sedona. Route 89A has many stop areas to pull off the highway and park so you can take lots of photos. It is so beautiful.
We left in the morning, and I found it was hard to focus on the rocks with the sunlight hitting the rocks. Later in the day, it was so much easier to get the true color of the rocks. Early in the morning it was like shooting with the sun right behind behind the rocks and they had shiney halos around them. WE went on up to Flagstaff where they have mountains. If you don't mind I will show you a hoto of the GPS as we went up one of the mountains. Many U turns and the speed limit was 20 MPH. (We were speeding at 29 MPH.) Needless to say I had a blast that day with my camera.

Office Depot can print panos of almost any length x 36" tall. I recently had a project involving a 36" X 60" pano which they printed with great results. The cost was $69.00 which seemed reasonable. What is the average price per sq/ft at other shops? Does anybody know?
I got a shot priced at Staples. 16"x91" for $87.

elisab, Your picture 2 and 3 are outstanding. Wonderful shots. I downloaded 1 and darkened it a bit. Hope this is ok. Just playing.
That looks really cool!! Thanks for working with it. Aren't the fireworks so amazing to watch. I have been taking shots of fireworks for about 3-4 years. My first ones I don't show to anyone now. The lines were crooked and the lighting wasn't the greatest either. WIll be looking forward to seeing more fireworks in 2012

Wonderful fireworks shots. I live about 30 south of the Pittsburgh's Mt. Washington. THese fireworks are from a little mining town in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The town is Cokeburg. My friends and I just love the fireworks. We get the fireworks schedules and visit each town and watch their fireworks.

I ahve to admit I am in love with photographgs and have bought photos at auctions. I don't even know these people in the photos. My mother in law just gave me all of her photographs, which is strange. Her son, my husband passed away 9 years ago. She has 2 adult grand daughters, and she didn't give them to them. She has 5 great grand children, and she didn't give them to them. But I think I will save them and have them given to the great grand children when I pass away.
I just love photos, and look at everyones photos, whether I know them or not. My brother asked me what would happen to my photos when I die. I laughed and said I don't care what they do with them. I enjoyed them. But when I die, I will haunt whoever burns my photos!! So many memories and happy times in those photos.
I am a 65 year old retired nurse who has always lived in Pennsylvania. I worked in the local hospital, a nursing home, and home health nursing. (More hospitals and cameras) I have a habit of not getting my picture taken. When we were growing up my older sister told me I was ugly and I believed her. (Just joking)
I am a widow and have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren, and I just love them all. This is the last picture of me taken by my 2nd daughter. She told me to look mean - and I do everything I am told.
I have always loved photography, but got more interested when digital came out. Right now I have a Canon 50D.
I think I am related to Mr. Wilson on page 1. Wilson is my maiden name, and our family is all "well rounded."
I think it is a nice photo, peaceful and happy. I would remove the stone from the bottom left corner. I fooled with it in Photoshop CS2. I added clouds to the sky, in render of the filters. Then I went to filters again used distort and spherize. Then I added a blue gradient to the photo and reduced its clarity. Sharpened it just a little. But I like the original without the stone.
Longwood Gardens. It is about an hour plus or minus outside of Philadelphia. Us Route 1, PO nox 501 Kennetts Square, Pa 19348. I went there last year. it took me almost a doay to go through all the displays. Some of the displays are inside, and some are outside.
