You have to harvest a lot of crops to pay for one of these...Richard

It seems likely that this rig belongs to a contractor who does this job for many farmers. Unless this is a very large corporate farm, I don't think one farm could keep it busy enough to justify the investment.

Farmer applying fertilizer to his field

Beautiful panoramic! Fortunately, this farmer was not into organic farming.

Be sure to download for the full affect.

Sorry, I didn't see the earlier post for Rt. 7. Love those Bridges.
I snowmobiled over quite a few covered bridges in Vermont and Canada.

Route 7 has a creek that parallels it on the west. Thus, if a resident wanted to go west, he had to cross the creek. This led to a great many covered bridges which were popular in the late 1800's and maybe earlier than that. Believe they were covered to protect the engineered braces which were made of wood from the severe weather.

I like my pics off kilter ... FYI :-)

Yes, but, if you leave it like that, all of the water will run out and those people will be miles from the shore!

James Beauregard Beam rebuilt the Beam Distillery in Bardstown, KY in 1933 after Prohibition ended. Today, he sits proudly with his dog on the grounds of the Beam Distillery rocking away and, presumably, enjoying a taste of his bourbon.

The Beam Distillery is now owned by Japanese Suntory Holdings. I have been told that the Beam Bourbon tastes the same as before.

RosesDad, this is a common experience with Ryther's and other similar schlock outfits. Do business with a reputable online merchant who is an authorized Nikon or Canon Dealer. I had a similar experience with another company who offered a deal to good to pass up on a Nikon camera. They, too, tried to load the sale with junk merchandise (always batteries to start) since they wouldn't make much on the original price. I finally told them to cancel the order and I bought the camera at the list price from B&H Photo in NYC.

Stick to B&H, Adorama or similar merchants and you'll have a better experience.

Where in VT did you take this?

In Vermont, there is US Route 7 that goes north from Rutland to Burlington. It is known as the "covered Bridges Trail" or something like that. Has many old covered bridges. This one was just outside a little town whose name I don't remember. I was looking for bridges on that trip but only found three or four in all of Vermont.

Perhaps one of our bridge friends could identify the location. It is a beautiful September trip before the leaves fall and after they change color.

I have a Nikon D80 which is seven years old. It is now showing err message next to iso information. When I press the shutter button I hear the shutter closure ,no picture is taken and when I press the shutter again it does take a picture and err message comes back. I called Nikon and they asked me to send the camera for repair to them. Any ideas on how to fix the problem and is it worth getting the camera repaired or should I consider getting a new camera? I would appreciate any helpful suggestions. Thanks

Another thought,

About fifteen years ago, I purchased a Nikon 8004 film camera to take on a trip to Italy. After arrival, it would not take a photo and came up with ERR when I tried. Couldn't find any reason for it so I took it to a local camera store. The owner listened to my description of the problem then took the camera, made certain the lens was properly mounted then made a little click and the problem was solved. Seems if your lens has a dial of aperture stops nearest to the camera, there will be a little slider on the right end which must be in the locked position or the lens will not work. Check yours, be certain the lens is properly and securely mounted and that the little slider is locked. It will not lock until the lens is set at its smallest aperture which will be the largest number shown at the 12 O'clock position.

If this is confusing, ask your local dealer for assistance. Good luck.

Not at all, Erv. Here it is. This was taken with a Canon G10. Got rid of that pesky telephone pole!

This covered bridge was just off the "Covered Bridge Trail" in Vermont one day in The fall.

Couldn't resist giving it the workover in Photoshop.

Not an expert on this but have you ever replaced the little flat battery that brings up the date but never loses it when you have your main battery out for recharging? They are good for 5 or so years. Inexpensive. I don't know what all this battery does but I replaced one on a Nikon D1x when it couldn't remember dates.

All things eventually get old and start forgetting things.

Not really. This is simply overkill. You are just resetting every tool to its default settings. This means that, if you have customized a tool or tools, you are going to have to do it all over again. If the Tools panel is really "screwed up", you need to move on to the second level of troubleshooting, that is, deleting Elements' Preferences file to force this program to generate a replacement file.

I guess I don't make permanent changes to tools like you do. Anything I do to them, I don't mind doing again plus I can't remember what I did the last time and it's probably the wrong thing for the file I am currently working on. Whatever works best is the thing to do, IMHO.

You say "I don't expect I'll be around long."

Looks like you joined yesterday and today you don't expect to be here long.

You've been here too long already. Farewell.
