dpullum, BTW; at first, I focused on the plant, then the column; saw all the details on both, but now I look-focus into the darkness and both plant and column are on "peripheral" Weird?
dpullum; I am very familiar with the FDR quote and I use it all the time. Back to the pic; I first went to the plant, then far right to the column, but then I was drawn into the darkness part. It pulled me in. What is darkness?? The absence of light or all light compressed? I am going back to it and ponder about a tittle. That photograph is intriguing,; what`s in the darkness??
fototaker27; I "misplaced" your notes on the vehicles. could you re-send, pls.
Nessguide, amen for sure.
mylife photo, BTW, your great-grand was a beauty.
Tehachapi; is that like in north of L.A.? First, I like those pics just the way they are , they convey the sense of antiquity, which they are. They dont have tears, blotches , holes, they indeed can be "enhanced". Here in L.A. are plenty of places that can do it. I have one nearby that fixed one of my grandmother which had all of the above. it turned remarkably well.
dpullum; quiet amazing that a Japanese technician can, remotely and by accident, do better that I can on purpose. That is sad.
Skidooman/Acountry330; so what you guys are saying is: "Art through Science. It could be 50/50, 60/40, or whatever other proportion, but still is the two elements combined.
AL FR-153 et all Me? I just have a dumb fone and a good camera. Not too knowledgeable on smart fones. On this one I am going to come in, sit down, shut up and listen. I may learn something.
Mudshark (that looks like a dog);; yeah, the place is blessed. Everybody, at least once to the Derby, to "My old Kentucky Home". I just thought about it. Just photograph hats. (pamelas ok, too).
Depullum; I went into the zdnt(oled) page, read the whole thing . I can already see you all dressed up on that stuff walking at night all over Michigan. Let me know , I would like to follow you with my Nikon. We may make a buck or two.
Shutter Bugger, Bourbon? To be exact, Maker`s Mark. I married a gal from Louisville, Ky. I have been to the distillery; the smell is so strong, (a good thing), it can be photograph. That brand may not be known Down Under. Pity.
Shutter Bugger; but have you ever watched the movie "The Right Stuff" ; there you will find some of that aboriginal magic (the fire scene down bellow and the capsule way up there). and to you dpullum; you can not be "an intellectual/ artist", at least not 100%, you have a sense of humor, those guys are neurotic. Your sarcasm is getting you close.
dpullum, right, and thats why we have "paper". It does not lie. And no double gingkos, pls, Shakespeare comes out.
