Run this in Snopes. Absolute and total BS. It's fun to box shadows, because you can always believe that you've won, but in the real world this is a non-issue. If you guys spent half the time you do running Obama down on improving the news sources you read, you'd be better citizens. Happier, too.

That's my wish for you.

Hey, I don't want any part of this controversy, but who controls Snopes? Is it a truly independent view?

Nooooooooooooo - just fly into Cancun and then into Cuba - travel agents in MX will give you a visa and then they don't stamp your passport in Cuba. Very common thing.
There are cruise boats from Cancun & Playa DelCarmen to Cuba.
It is only 125 mi trip.

Cuba. Oh right, that cursed embargo.

Or if you live in N. Dak., or Minnesota, drive up to Winnipeg for a four hour direct flight to Cuba.

I don't know what you consider cold down there in Pittsburgh, but we just came through a couple of days with a wind chill of under -40 here in Winnipeg. I read where Sydney Crosby decided to walk from his hotel to the arena, just to get a taste of good old Manitoba winter.

"You just aren't reading the posts. There are a lot of reasonable voices on here."
Apparently you missed my point. At no time did I downplay the reasonable voices on UHH, in fact, they are what keep my interest piqued. What I did suggest was that many people are so locked into a particular point of view, that any other viewpoint isn't even worth considering. Just check out the posts that get downright dirty. Some are concerning politics, while others are on gun control, just to mention two. Friendly give and take is absent in most cases. I believe that having an open mind is an asset! Leave the dis out of discussing.

Brain deformed since birth? Hardly. That's the function of our school system. Brainwashing. Is there any more inquisitive creature than a new born? We are taught to listen and accept, not to ask and think. Thinking and analyzing leads to activism. The powers to be encourage apathy. That's easy to control. I hear it all of the time,'What can I do, I'm only one.' The answer is simple. Learn to evaluate everything by dissecting it. Listen to all views and get involved, even if it is over a cup of coffee. I see so many topics here where people are adamant about their position, as if it was the only one. I have yet to read someone write "good point".

So American or should I say so U.S. citizen. But that is another topic.

Not so much any more. We don't see American cars with roof racks laden with skis, in the middle of August, looking for a good downhill run, like we used to. And we are on the prairies here in Winnipeg.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, the 10-22 is made in the L lens factory, however, Canon does not designate this lens as an L lens. Their reason for this is because it won't fit on a full frame body. So the L lens quality is there. In effect, I have two L lenses for my 7D, the 10-22 and the 24-105 that work harmoniously with each other.

Check out Bryan Peterson on you tube, or via his videos. He is a master at creating art out of everyday articles, for example, three forks intertwined on a coloured background, or red chile peppers forming a pattern. There is no end to his creativity.

Here's one for about $70. I use it as pictured here with my 7D, also on my monopod. Works for me.

Esther P lives in a great area for deals on compact flash cards. Check out this link.

For about $100. I bought three of these for our upcoming trip to Cuba. Along with my 2-8s, and a 16, I should be able to take 5000 raw format pix. No need to worry about laptops or card readers. The less you lug around, the more pleasant the trip!
