I have the old version CS6 from a disc from back in the day which I still have, with much resistance, I succumbed to the monthly subscription, I had to convince myself the $10 a month was no big deal. I have a few questions I couldn't get answers for from some of these mom and pop computer places because they are not Photoshop or Lightroom savvy. In my PS CC, everything is so big, like it's for a blind person! The pallets are big but the area to work in is tiny compared to my CS6 version. cannot locate where the "auto-select button is either, I'm sure I have more questions but CC is new to me since I purchased it 5 days ago. Also whenever I launch LR CC, my LR 5 comes up? If anyone has experienced this problem and and found the cause, please let me know. I hope i explained myself well, thanks hogs!

Not the shiniest fork in the drawer but how do you shrink a video file from a canon 7D that I eventually want to put on a DVD disc? I'm recording my photography tutorials and its around 5 hours long, I'd like to fit it all on 1 disc, right now it's so large it's taking about 20 min per disc. Someone out there know of a free download I can achieve this task with? Thank you in advance.

Would love to go to Cuba, but i understand the only way to get there is through a political affiliation, a religious group or an educational perhaps college group. I've been checking with online flights {i.e. Expedia} and found that there are no flights going there from California, and if i really, really want to go i'd have to either fly to Mexico or Canada, then hop the flight to Cuba, is this the only alternative? Who has gone to Cuba? How? Thank you in advance.

I appreciate you hanging out and hopefully creating closure to this ugly thing i'm stuck in. ok, lets say for instance, in your screenshot, you have the right monitor with an image in it already, when i want to open a 2nd image from my desktop it falls right on top of the 1st image on the monitor to the right. when i try to move the 2nd image to the monitor on the left, the moment i place the image on the 2nd monitor to the left and let go the mouse, it snaps back to the monitor on the right. hopefully this scenario was as clear as mud. don't know if its PS or the OS, i have windows 8.1 here and windows 7 on my laptop, and just scared to go to windows 10, heard some horror stories about what it does to PP software, and some are fine. actually, it falls in that catagory. not so much cloning, but lets say i have an image opened in PS, we'll call that image#1, i open up a second image from my desktop {#2}, that image {#2} opens up on top of image #1, when i try to move image #2 to my 2nd monitor, the image snaps back on top of image #1, allowing me NOT to view or even work on #1. I know for a fact it didn't behave like this all the time, it just started about a month ago. my laptop allows me to move back and forth freely. i hope this explaination is a little more clearer than my previous, its hard for me to explain without you sitting next to me. if i was computer savvy i'd do a screenshot but i don't know how, i do on my phone, but not on this desktop.......anyway i do thank you for spending this much time on me.

oh Searcher I was hoping that would fix it but it didn't. aww man!!!!! maybe on your CC but not on this. BTW, i do have a copy on my laptop and it works great.....Any more suggestions?

Hello fellow hedge hoggers, got a problem and can't find the answer, google and youtube can't help, maybe it was the way I explained it, I don't know. my problem: I'm currently using PS CS6 {non CC}, also using 2 monitors. When i have a picture already in que on the 1st monitor, then i bring another image into scene {on monitor 1}, it works ok, but the moment i grab that 2nd picture and move it over to monitor 2, it snaps back to where it started. I use this to clone or mask but from one image to another but when the image snaps back it goes right on top of the 1st image, {it USED to work, hoping I pressed something I wasn't supposed to}. I'm hoping i'm explaining this feat correctly, and i'm hoping this is a quick and simple fix. thanks and I can't tell you how much this forum has helped me in my plight to stay crazy and obsessed. Thank you in advance.........

Just asking any HH out there if they've ever tried this software and your opinion of it. also a comparison of the deluxe and ultra version. Thinking of dipping my hands into this but don't want to get something if its not really worth it. i did the trial version but with my time constraints and other commitments i couldn't really give this thing a fair try, tried it maybe 3 times and can't really form an opinion. I am currently using PS CS6 {not the monthly subscription} and have been finding it difficult to crop my pictures suitable for costco's photo center requirements. Seems when i crop it according to their standards, they're always cutting off part of the head, feet, something that i wanted in the picture. Their scale goes like this: 4"x "6 {1200 x 1788 pixels}, 5"x 7" {1500 x 2100 pxl}, 8x10 {2300 x 1895}, 8x12 {2400 x 3600pxl}, 11x14 {3300x4200pxl} and 12x18 {3600x5400pxl}. I have been testing the sight and sometimes i do a smaller pixel just to think maybe thats it, but it don't matter, same results. should i pay more attention to the "inches?" in the "image" pallet in PS or can someone out there enlighten me with a better solution? i have talked to the clerk at Costco and they always tell me "it should work", but i do believe i'm doing something wrong. thanks in advance, PS.....I love this place!!!!

thank you for your speedy response, i had paid $1XX to have the spyware, malware and virus taken out of the laptop a few months ago and what concerns and pisses me off is why did this attack me so quickly? i AM running "McAfee total protection" and wondering if the similar cleaner your speaking of {CCleaner} is included in this package? also a footnote, i am also running a desktop same brand, doing basically the same thing, PS {etc}, youtube, internet surfing {no malicious sites} and yet i never catch anything on that computer. out of the 2 years i've had the laptop this is probably the 4th time i've taken it in for the same thing. thank you in advance.

I'll save you the drama, not liking my windows laptop lately, its only 2 yrs old, 8gig ram & 500 HD. got to the point where i think i will have to give in to a mac, i understand they don't catch virus's. what do you suggest in the form of a laptop, fast {of course} and lots of ram so i won't freeze up. for my PP lets just say i have about 5 different programs. and if i do switch to a mac my windows PP software will all have to be repurchased? am i missing anything? thanks in advance.
