Beautiful little Westies - they have such endearing characters! Great idea, and I'm going to bore you with a few more!

What a lovely picture of contentment - lucky boy to be adopted by you - they are still our precious "Pups" when they are old, stiff and grey! :-) Can you imagine the joy of a warm scented lawn after the confines of a pound!

Unfortunately I don't have a puppy photo as my greyhound 'Cruiser' was rescued from a pound at age 7 years. He's still up pup to me, so I hope you don't mind my pushing in here!! This photo was taken on his first day with me - relaxing on the lawn of his new home after a long time in a steel and concrete pound!!

Oh my oh my - I have a zillion pics! so here are just a few favourites! Shiloh is my big buxom blonde, who despite looking like butter wouldn't melt, combined the escapolgy skills of Harry Houdini and the comic antics of the Keystone Cops! Reilly is my beautiful dark girl with the most soulful eyes, Kelsey has a dreamy quality about her and little Sadie is just a peach! I've added a couple from a litter we had eighteen months ago! And finally my darling Storm sadly no longer with us.

Shiloh in the primroses - butter wouldn't melt!

p25 Sheenagh you are priceless!! This is a portrait to hang on your wall! Made me laugh and a reminder of the associated chatter from others about their "senior" moments. Love it. Thanks for posting this. It is so terrific when one can have a good laugh at themselves - and share it with others.

Thank you so very much to Gracie (may I call you that?) to Jaclee and to Perilin for your lovely comments and also to see that I am in good company regarding the little matter of wardrobe malfunction! To Irenejb, Cricket, Bushido, Sher, Frankie, Agnesm and to Marj a special thanks (by the by if I whisper it - it doesn't hurt 55!)

Pat I adored your trailing stars, what an amazing piece of photography - you learn so much here! Littlebiddle your waterfalls are spectacular, and I would be thrilled to have taken such images. Rufe your signs are something else! And I'm sure they made us all giggle! All the pictures of various children and "grands" are just peachy and Perilin your Easter Egg chicks were just the cutest! And as for tomorrows challenge, I can bore you all legitamately with more canine shinanigans!

Proof of the "senior moment" regarding the boots!

Beautiful pictures of beautiful subjects - thoughts and prayers with Annette - I hope she'd chuckle at my fashion faux pas yesterday! Having removed my sheepskin boots to add fleecy socks before doning my wellies to walk the dogs, I was half way up the hill in the woods when my son asked me if there was any particular reason I was sporting one of each!! It was my fairly significant, double digit birthday and I think I'm slipping into that "batty old bird" catagory! Thanks for hosting and thanks again to those of you who humour my canine captures, particularly Pat who is so kind and generous with her comments :-)

Hello, Everyone! I apologize for the lateness of this post, but I started gathering photos together for the challenge about 10:30 P.M. and promptly dozed off! Lol!

Today is the day to hit us with the best shots of your choice. It would be wonderful if you would share some of your family moments from this past Easter/Passover weekend as well. I am dedicating this day to Annette , who had surgery today. Also, as Annette loves comical or interesting signs and always uses them as a wildcard, share some crazy signs, too!

I look forward to seeing your best shots!

Hi Sue - Yep taken this morning! It's been cold enough to freeze those proverbial monkeys - but spring is definitely stirring......I have to add that this particular cherry is the earliest to bloom and the more familiar "Pink Cherry" will not be blooming until May :-)

Pg 8 - blimey Sheenagh - are these your this year's blossom? Mine are so tiny i still need my microscope to see them.... no sign yet of a bloom ... you are obviously much warmer down in the more southerly spots.... Lovely pics whatever.
Enjoy your new toys too...

Thank you Frankie! I'm ridiculously enthusiastic! I try taking everything on a myirad of settings.....then when I get home and see that one is quite pleasing, I haven't a clue as to what setting I've achieved said photo!! Doh! I know about the Exif setting (but that could be a foreign language!)....so I guess I will continue to make fairy steps and enjoy the journey!

Hi Perilin - not been around much, but always lovely to dip in and out, enjoy the banter and be amazed by everyone's talent and interpretation :-)

As a birthday treat, I've been gifted a couple of new lens's which I'm having great fun trying out new ideas, so here are a couple from the telephoto and macro. Things that rise..........the temperature! If you view the daisy's in download I hope you can see the frost glinting and the cherry blossom from this morning also heralds the fact that "Spring is Sprung!" My final offering is stereotypical! Sadie rising from the lake! Hope you all enjoy the happiest of Easters and are blessed with the warmth of family and friends :-)

Hello Everyone,

I know I haven't posted in a while but I have tried to keep up to date on all the wonderful photos that have been submitted during the previous challenge.

Since this is Easter weekend, I took Annette's suggestion and entitled this challenge Things that Rise. Hopefully you'll like the pictures I have chosen to begin. Have fun shooting.

Thank you JacLee - we have just had a massive storm and flooding with heavy snow in middle England, so if I was inclined to venture out........I'm sure the sea would be looking mean and moody and very angry this morning!!

Hi Marj - sorry to hear you're feeling blue so special thanks for hosting this challenge :-) I'll look out some "cleanish" jokes and sent some to you and Pat :-)
Some amazing photography as usual and some new folks too! Very briefly

Page 5 - Clicker 2012 I had no idea Old Quebec looked like something out of a fairy story - fabulous

Page 12 - Laskalass your images are always top notch, but special thanks for your link regarding landscape photography.......I've just indulged myself with Telephoto lens, but my attempts at landscapes to date leave much to be desired!

Page 13 - Coco1964 Simply love your shots of the Mississippi River Basin and the glorious riot of colour that is your Autumn Forest.

Page 22 - Leibschen - your shot of the waterfall in Oregon is magnificent!

The coast is what is so magical here in Cornwall, so my offerings are from the beach with one old deserted tin mine which we passed a couple of days ago out walking the hounds. Also it seems that every hedgerow, garden, and umpteen fields are simply bursting with some "sunshine gold" in the guise of the humble daffodil!

Couldn't seem to get the original of the mining chimney but what a good shot. Sadie of course is right at home with her ball on the beach but the last one - WOW! Everyone do look at the original that Sheen did on this one Hollywell Beach. The surf is beautiful and you see people on this Isle! Great shot Sheen!
