As the US Constitution and our laws state, what's happening at the border is due to the total DO NOTHING GOP!

The GOP has been sitting on Immigration bills for years!

Who wrote the bill that Biden sent to Congress?

Well, most people have managed to do better. Which is the problem; s**t jobs still need to be done.

So we allow or prefer to let people who will do s**t jobs cross the border for the convenience of those that are to good to do those jobs. I see a lot of prejudice in that statement, unintended I am sure, it also hearkens back to the days of S***ery.

Yes, it is and efforts are ongoing to make the asylum determination happen quicker.

Instead of sending thousands of agents to protect our border we should be sending thousands of Immigration judges to process Asylum cases. If that happens we should see the number of true asylum cases dwindle as there is no chance of admission without true cause and no long term free pass to plunder or resources while waiting a court date.

But to portray it as a bigger thing than it is is disingenuous at best is nothing more misleading

I also get tired of hearing the Asylum argument, the Idea that you just need to claim Asylum and get a free pass for years waiting for a court appearance.

You should see all of them working here.

They are day workers and new home construction crews speaking Spanish solicit 12-20 workers for the each job of the day. The contractors are absolved from I-9 verification since a "temp agency" is fulfilling the requirements of the employer. The workers probably get paid in cash at the end of each day. They are out laying roofs, foundations, etc. as early at 7:00 and go until dark. The same is true for lawn care, drainage and watering landscaping projects, ongoing roof, shingle and storm damage projects.

There's no way to get the true numbers for what they add to local economies since all you see is the expense side.

The same is true in The Villages and other retirement communities. Our economy would come to a full stop without them.

Those Laborers are taking away jobs from American Tax payers, the Myth is that Americans won't do those jobs, the t***h is that undocumented workers have depressed the prevailing wages to a point that it is more profitable to stay home.

I could spend pages about the unseen costs incurred by Undocumented aliens and it would not convince folks on your side of the discussion. I do not have the time to try to explain it to those that suffer from tunnel vision.

While I have and continue to support the need for comprehensive immigration reform to try to peg illegal immigrants to any type of debt issue is really disingenuous.

Those that believe millions of I*****l i*******ts are not causing additional debt have their heads up their ass.

Another nebulous answer. I'll ask you the same questions:

1) your definition of secure
2) what would your actions be
3) how many i*********n l*ws would be broken
4) how much will it cost
5) will House GOP appropriate funds

It's part of the long standing use of words as policy rather than actual bipartisan communication and shared goal actions.

https://washingtonindependent.com/100722/what-does-secure-the-border-actually-mean/

R****t is the key word describing the lack of complete border control, all are so dammed afraid of being called r****t. A country without enforceable borders is not a secure country. we all seem to forget that the millions of undocumented count when the seats in the Legislature are apportioned giving sanctuary states a unfair advantage. Our country is deep in debt and has a problem taking care of it's own citizens. Times are rough in Central and South America because those folks would rather pack up and leave than take their Country back from the evil that prevails. I do believe that countries south of our border had the opportunity to develop a Society and Government of the people and by the people, their failure is their problem, not ours.

What is your "fix" and how many laws would it violate and how many $'s will it cost? Will House even take up such a bill?

How many laws are broken every day at the border. Secure the border then legislate.
