Hi, hope this is helpful.

photoshop elements 13

Adobe released the Elements 12 line back at the end of September but we’re already looking forward to the upcoming Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 13. So when will version 13 come out? Well, they have been pretty good in releasing the new version right in time for the holiday shopping season and pretty consistent about it (with the last four releases happening on the third Tuesday of the month in September). Here’s our prediction:

Photoshop Elements 13 & Premiere Elements 13 are expected to be released on Tuesday September 23rd, 2014.- Rumored Elements 13 Release Date

But don’t expect any dramatic discounts at launch – Most of the deepest discounts begin after Thanksgiving around the Black Friday weekend. See below for the release date history for the all of the previous versions:

Elements 12 – It was released on September 23rd, 2013.
Elements 11 – Released on September 25th, 2012.
Elements 10 – Released in September 2011.
Elements 9 – Released in September 2010.
Elements 8 – Released in September 2009.
Elements 7 – Released in October 2008.
Elements 6 – Released in October 2007.
Elements 5 – Released in October 2006.

Was the title too long? I can't find many tutorials for elements 6.
When I bought it a few months ago I had no idea it was
already out of date. Will 12 be cheaper when 13 comes out?
Thanks a lot.

Just keep in mind that you will have the weight of the lens or camera (which ever way you mount things) hanging on the tubes. Good quality tubes would be in order.
Thanks Flyextreme, Have decided on the Kenko, better to be safe than sorry.

I own a set of Kenko Auto-extension tubes, with no experience with Opteka Auto Focus DG EX Macro Extension Tube Set.
Thank you Nikonian72, Have decided to order the Kenko Auto-extension Tubes, will order them tomorrow. I also couldn't find if the Opteka were plastic or metal construction.

Hi, I am looking for extension tubes and a focusing rail, I'm on a budget. Does anyone have or know anything about the ones listed below. I would be grateful of all opinions.

1)Opteka Auto Focus DG EX Macro Extension Tube Set for Canon
2)Velbon Super Mag Slider
4-way adjustment - forward / backward / left / right
Detachable lower base - changeable to 2-way slider
Made from lightweight and durable magnesium alloy
Lateral adjustment range: 30 mm, Forwards/backwards
adjustment range: 60 mm.

Will the Focusing Rail fit onto any tripod? Sorry if this is a stupid question!!!

Thanks
Anne

I am still learning, so any thoughts and ideas on how to make this shot either clearer or just all around better. I included the original and a cropped shot.

Shot with Canon T1i.

Thanks

Thank you Gene51, I now think it will be a choice between the 100-400L and the 300mm f4, will go to a camera store with the camera and try them out, will ask if I can try the 300mm with a 1.4x also.

I think you just found your lens - :) You do nice work with it, though I still think your image quality will reach greater heights with the 300 F4. The 100-400 L is good, but the 300 F4 is better. And it might even be better with a 1.4x as well.

Swallowtail, I think you're taking some great pics. I'm glad your son very kindly lent you his lens. I would imagine you did him a favor or two while raising him??

These are some more that I took earlier this year. 7 and 8 are edited.

Can't remember if they were tripod mounted or handheld with vibration control, but the light was low, very low. Sun was already down I think.
Absolute worst conditions and settings for showing off this lens.
What you think?

These are some I took earlier this year with Canon 100-400mmL lense lent to me by my son. Unedited and some have ISO 800 by mistake.

These are some that I took earlier this year. My son very kindly lent me his Canon 100-400mmL lense. These are all unedited, on some the ISO is 800, this was an accident.

Can I get in that hand me down queue please!!!

LOL Gene, maybe I have, but that sure was quick.
I have only just bought this lens, haven't even had it in good light yet, and I really cannot justify spending $6K-$14K on what I'd really like. ... yet.
All hand me downs gratefully appreciated though. :-)
I agree with everything you say, but you have to be honest Gene, for its price this is a very good lens for the masses to "go long" with.

Thanks Gene51, two things I do have are time and I am very patient when it comes to photography. Think I will take my camera with me to a camera store and try all three, download the photos on to my computer and compare them. Thank you for all your advice. I am learning a lot from everyone.

Part of my point is that these images are a mix of 300mm and 600mm lens images. They are all tiny - sparrows and warblers, and the lighting was challenging. And they were done on a full frame camera. What you need is excellent optics, but more than that, you will need lots of time and endless patience. A 300mm on a full frame does not have the reach of the same on a cropped sensor, yet, it did not deter me from getting these shots. And because the 100-300 F4 I used is good quality, it is indistinguishable, at least on first glance, to the ones taken with the $11,000 600mm.

I would question whether you "need" a longer length, vs getting a lens that can give you amazing quality that you can crop a bit to get a tighter composition. All the images are obviously cropped. And if you look close, you will see telltales in the bokeh that give the 300mm away.
Part of my point is that these images are a mix of... (show quote)
