Use POP3 instead of IMAP for your email settings.
Your mail server stores all of your messages and IMAP makes sure you have them all.
POP3 just gets the latest emails.
The reason you are seeing adverts is your cookies.
If I research an appliance or tripod, I get ads here on UHH for the same items I was looking at.
Once you step into the internet, you are tracked.
It's worse if your operating system tracks you.
I like windows 8.1 and feel I have privacy.
I always wondered about Bohemian Rhapsody.
Work around, in Photoshop, use type tool and just enter 8 and then rotate it.
what mallen1330 mentioned about hdr is good advice.
DON'T over do it.
You are dealing with lots of bright and dark areas.
Take a beachfront property and you want to show off the living area and the beach view.
With out hdr, you can get the living area but the view will be blown out.
To get the view exposed correctly, the living area will be under exposed.
Take 3 bracketed shots and merge them with a hdr program, I use photomatix.
Now everything will be balanced out.
People will be wondering how YOU got that shot.
Other than the haters, this is good information.
I myself do not like the canned plugins.
On a side note I do use unsharp mask....
But before I do there are 12 steps I go through so that sharpening only sharpens the edges and details without all of those artifacts you see on sharpened images.
I like to get under the hood and make my own tweaks.
Ron has some great ideas and I like how he works hard to get the final results.
