So where does the advantage of bringing in product from another country (so called Grey Market product) come from ?? Does Nikon sell directly to dealers in other countries, where they sell to NikonUS here in the states who acts as a middle man and takes a cut therefore making the price higher to US Buyers ???
No, usually. You are out of luck - and some mfgrs - like Nikon - will not sell parts to independent repair guys - no rational reason to buy gray market goods - ever.
Not 100% accurate...When I needed repair on an out of warranty body, my local independent repair shop told me that they routinely order parts from subcontract company's that manufacture components for Nikon.
I use color munki and it seems to work well.It compensates for ambient lighting in the room you are working in so if you change the lighting or move to a different location, you need to recalibrate.
I am looking at a couple different models of Data Color and Color Munki. I notice that the Data Color Spyder5 PRO and Elite have saved ambient light settings (3 & 5 settings respectively). Does the color Munki have these ? It seems that you could have settings saved for when daylight enters the windows of the room that your monitors are in and one for the evening when no light comes in. Instead of re-calibrating for varying degrees of ambient light at different times of the day ??
I have several of these for equipment like my Nikon spotting scope that I leave in the back of my SUV. Great for lenses too. I would not use it for airline travel but great for storage & back of the car travel. I had a grandson jump in the car and sit on a lens in a soft case once. Now i use these when headed out. Check the size and make sure your lens or equipment fits !!
Which shows once again, that there is more than one way to achieve the same thing . My fingers know the Ctrl+click and Shift+click commands because I use those very frequently, my brain also knows the Ctrl+A command, but I rarely use it ;-)
I will have to try the control A !! This old dog likes "new" tricks !!
Minor correction, GC: If you Ctrl+click the last image, you only select the first and and last images. If you Shift+Click the last one, you select the first, last and all in-between images.
You are absolutely correct !! Thanks for jumping in !!
Try this, works perfectly: If you are using a PC with Windows Explorer put then in the order you want, highlight all (click first - control click the last) Then right click the first, select RENAME (BE careful - DELETE is right above rename). Type the name you want, hit enter and that name will be assigned with a numerical order number (name(1).xxx) to all.
